Thinking of getting the Zalman 3d monitor

Post by crager44 »

as a previous user of shutter glass's. I miss 3D!!! I now have a new system (8800GTX, 3.0 dou core) I'm thinking of trying the new monitors. Has anyone tried IL2 1946 or LOCK-ON MODERN AIR COMBAT with the new drivers? i just want to make sure the games I like best are working first. Thanks!

If you have vista - which is the only way to use the zalman - you could try the games out with the driver in anaglyph. If the computer doesn't crash, it should work with the other mode, too.

have fun ;-)

You must try it with the anaglyph drivers first. It doesn't work with the iz3d drivers and it works with only a certain version of old nvidia drivers in opengl for me. It works with the 162 drivers but with weird tetures and stuff like that.
But with the current nvidia 3d status I wouldn't touch anything they make with a 10ft pole.

Thanks for the replies,
It's good to see the Call of Duty sreies works, but flight sims are where 3D really shines for me. Has anyone tried any others? Lock-on, Microsoft Flight sim? I would rather invest in a new monitor instead of the old CRT and shutter glassed. I think Nvidia is moving in the right direction. If game developers would just build in 3d options, thing would be better.

LockOn and Ms Flight Sim work good.
