HP has announced plans to release the HP Envy 17 3D, Hewlett Packard's first foray into 3D notebook computers.
Scheduled for release this Christmas, this HP unit features a 17.3" screen, full 1080P resolution, and LCD shutter glasses support. What makes this product a tad more interesting is that it is based on an AMD 5850 GPU - which conceivably opens the door for gamers to use both DDD and iZ3D stereoscopic 3D drivers. It's interesting that the choice of licensed driver has not been revealed...yet.

Just in time for Avatar 3D Blu Ray and of course, the Hustler Avatar XXX 3D parody right? hehe. (edited by moderator: sorry, no porno links please) Because you can't watch that on a 55 inch samsung 3D blu-ray home theater setup in the family room.
