Intention behind this:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since the 3D vision no longer works with drivers after version 452.XX, there have been increasing reports of not working 3D in games. There is also a lot of experimentation and drivers installed back and forth. Back then, when I tracked down the problem with drivers after 425.XX, when 3D Vision could no longer be installed, I noticed that a CLEAN installation is worth gold. Often times, problems are associated with installing one driver on top of the other. I also can't say enough: USE DDU and reinstall the driver .... In the end, if the problems persist, I don't know whether it is an installation error or actually a problem with the 3D fix.
For this reason I wanted to create a tool that eliminates these question marks. Start, choose the driver and wait until the installation is done. The tool I am now releasing is close to a ONE CLICK APPLICATION, which enables exactly that. The only thing that the user has to decide is which driver to install and whether or not he wants Geforce Experience. Everything else is carried out without any user action, except for the login after a system restart :-)
What this Tool do:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- giving you the options to install any driver suitable for 3DV and any driver of your choice without trouble, installing 3DV in dependency of the driver and the OS.
- fastest way to install/switch drives
- you can install latest NVDrivers if you want, for example to play 2D or VK3DV or VR
- you can install DCH drivers (NVCP will be installed also without MS store), the tool detects your current driver state (STANDARD or DCH) and choose a suitible driver to install.
- you can choose ADVANCED OPTIONS that toggles more drivers to install and option to do without DDUcleaneup or install slim drivers. Please use the inbuild HELP for more information.
- 3D-Vision will be installed and activated without the 3DV-Setup, set to 100 % separation and enable advanced keys.
- install latest driver profiles
- if needed, driver hack will be installed, if you want, you can also disable it and enable again using the tool
- repair function for 425.31 perma 3D enabled bug => Note, this may only work until the next system restart and than needs to be redone...

Restrictions / Rules / Needs:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- you need to be system admin in general
- NOTE: 452.22 is a HOTFIX of 452.06 for windows 10
- SLIM drivers are only available for 452.22/ 452.06 / 425.31, not for latest NVidia Drivers.
- ANTIVIRUS solutions can kill the tool or some actions so that it can fail, please make to disabel AV also if your system restarts until you are done with the tool. PS: WindowsDefenter is OK and can be left enabled.
- you BADLY need to prevent Windows AUTO update, other wise windows will install 451.72 in the background or after using the tool. Please check the HELPTEXT from the tool for information.
- you need a working internet connection. Do not use the tool without NETTWORK!
- if you are coming from tool version before 3.0 you should redownload the tool, AUTOUPDATE may not work properly! The new package is linked below. You can overwrite your current tool installation, no extra folder needed.
- any game profile update will DELETE your manual changes made with NVidia Inspector, you need to redo this if needed, do not forget
- performing DDU clean driver installation will force you to redo EDID override stuff
- not automatic handled issues can be fixed reset the tool by z_Reset.cmd AND restart your system, than try again
- a dummy process called dumyXXX.exe will be started sometimes and killed within the install process, to prevent double starts, please IGNORE this and DO NOT CLOSE it.
- try to keep your fingers away from keyboard while the installation process as long as you are not asked to do something; try NOT TO interrupt the script while running
- NOTE: New latest drivers will be stored in the folder "latestdriver", may check back here from time to time to delete outdated drivers if a new NVIDIA driver was available to save disk space.
Keys:
~~~~~~~~
0 - toggles installation of NVidia GeforceExperiance ON and OFF
D - toggles the switch of the driver typ. STANDARD and DCH
A - enables the advanced installation options, giving you more options to install drivers, only for users who know what they are doing/want.
H - show HELP texts with information, you should read this ONCE!

Usage:
~~~~~~~~~
- start 3D-Vision_Driver_Changer.cmd
- installation of NVidia GeforceExperiance is OFF by default, use KEY 0 to switch if you want
- choose the driver you want to install on your system from the main page to install 452.22 / 452.06 or 425.31
- if you want to install the latest driver from NVIDIA, press Key 9 here
- if you want to install another driver, place the driver (exe) package in the folder "usercustomdriver" and press Key 9 again. It can also be a self extracting archive you may have created for some reason (like makinga slim driver for example).
Some pictures, in a row...
1. Main Menu for 452.22 / 452.06 or 425.31
2. Main Menu for 452.22 / 452.06 or 425.31 - ADVANCED install options ENABLED
3. Sub menu for latest NVIDIA driver installation.
4. Main Menu after 425.31 driver was installed with this tool, you can see the REPAIR function for 425.31 there. Use it if you have the 3D permanent on bug. More information @ the help Sceen in the tool.
5. Main Menu after 452.22 driver was installed with this tool, you can disable or enable driver hack here, also watch the header as an example if you have update driver profiles.
Known Issues:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- In dependency of your current setup and installed driver, the NVidia driver may restarts while the installation without warning, this CAN make problems but most of it was troubleshooted by me BUT:
- in any case of issues, the tool will tell you, please follow the things and read the texts
- you may think the tool is in a loop because some things where showed several times again, do not wonder, just relax and wait....
- sometimes, in dependency of your current setup/driver/system a driver installation an take upto 10 mins
- even if you may initially run into some issues or several tries to install a driver (this is related to the nvidia driver installation and how messed up/filled your system is because of previews hand made installations or automatic updates, once installed a driver with this tool the next installations should be troubleless.
- automatic windows driver update for the GPU is the most reason for fail with this tool, you will also fail if you install a driver a common way. PREVENT WIDNOWS GPU DRUVER UPDATE!! Use sledgehammer tool, see tools help screen for information. Also ensure this: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/how-t ... es-windows

Download and Installation:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- get the tool here (copy out the URL and paste it into your browser)
Code: Select all
http://web396.inetseite.de/3dprofiles/3D-Vision_Driver_Changer4.7z
- extract it to some folder, short path, no spaced or beackets containing is the best, so may be C:\3DTOOL or some what :-)
- Automatic updates will be performed by the tool if there is anything to update, any time you start the tool and an update is available. NOTE: If you are on Version 3.X or earlier, please also download this 4.X driver package, AutoUpdate WILL not work switching from 2.X to 4.X, and may not work switching from 3.X to 4.X.
This is interesting, mostly the part where you can change from one driver to another in 5 minutes. If we get stuck with an old driver for 3d and new games require a newer driver, this would surely help to change from one driver to another.
Given, the time its "a bit" dependend on your system and the speed the drivers and files will be installed :-)))))
But you do not have to do anything except the decission to install Geforce 'Experiance or not in the driver installation progress. IF you have no user login on your machine: After answering the NV-GFE question you can get to have a smoke or whatever you want, if you return you willsee 3D-Vision wizzard, finish this and start playing .-.)
No panic .-)
I could not test if the tool needs admin rights on some systems even if you are system admin. I only have had this problem for update the profiles on systems having driver that is much older than 425.31.
So at first time:
1. Restart your system
2. start driver changer
3. try to update your profiles again
4.
If you still get this error, CLOSE the NV_GF3DProfileManager, you will get a not success message. DO NOT PRESS any kay in the driver tool just exit it with the X in the upper right to close the tool. Navigate to the tools install folder. There you should have a NV_GF3DProfileManager.exe. Right click this and try import again.
Plrease report back, THANKS!
During the first try I moved the .txt to a different location and I deleted it by mistake :(
Now the default directory when I search for the file is where I copied and deleted the file (c:)...where is the original directory? is there a way to create it again?
Thanks Losti!
Sure, you simply have to restart the tool, if the update was not sucessfull it should present you the update for profiles again. If not:
You can delete the "ProfileUpdate" and the "ProfileVersion" filefrom the driver tool directory and than start the tool OR just download it here:
http://web396.inetseite.de/3dprofiles/N ... ofiles.txt
(right click the link and choose save link...)
I have still have the same issue :(
My hardware is an Alienware Laptop M17x R4 - GTX680M.
But before getting this error I got a different one:
Image
"3D vision and your graphic driver don't match"....
:(
Next steps?
Edit: I tried to export, save the file and import again, the process working as expected, but the drivers are not updated.
Your graphic card DO NOT support drivers later 425.31:
If you have installed a later driver, this can explain the import ERROR for the profiles. Install 425.31, thats also the SUGGESTED way to play 3D form the 3DFM team. You should not have any disadvantage if you use the latest profiles if this is possible. I just wonder about how a GTX-680M can handle 3D-gaming?? I for one have a GTX-850M on my Laptop and 2D gaming for any game later than the dragon age inquisition was ... lets say not really cool to play ^^
It's not a custom driver, it's the driver downloaded from the tool.
I couldn't import the txt, I got the error that I commented. But this window with the option to "import" has anothe option to "export", I tried that, created a new .txt and import it again. And it worked according the setup, but the driver is not updated.
I tried now to install the official drivers 425.31, and i can test the 3D with the nvidia assistant, but 3D is not working in games. Checking the refresh rate is 60hz, I select 120hz, but when I click OK, the refresh rate is again 60hz...I don't know why 120hz is not valid in 3d mode. I can use 120hz when I disable 3D from the nvidia panel..this is so weird.
Thank you in advance Losti!
PD: sent you a small thanks through Paypal ;)
Is it working or not ^^ If not, may be because of the outdated Laptop ^^ ?? May be your display is not supporting 120 Hz?
NVidia doesn't support the chipset of these "old cards" anymore.
My old laptop has a 780m card and they don't support these anymore.
The below is one of the many articles about it online, they stopped supporting these together with the infamous pulling of 3D Vision support.
I got 3D Vision working on my laptop (Alienware 17 with 780m card) by manually editing the driver files in the (at that time) new driver in January and using the "old" fixes (we didn't have any automated fixes at that time yet)
Hi Losti, I have downloaded the 425.21 from nvidia I can play again in 3D, no issues at all.
But I would like to update the profile, but after trying from your tool I got this error: FAIL: "You DO NOT HAVE IMPORTED the new profiles ... press a key to try again ...."
I selected the txt that you upload here and I see a "Success" in the little window that is open to select the file, but in the CMD I see that it's not working
any idea?
Thank you in advance!
Lets say the prove of the things from the tool are a bit BETA and not a REAL prove. The tool checks the presents of the existance a running GeForce 3D Settings Profile Manager. and SECOND its checks for a file created after profile update. If you will recieve the FAIL message, you have closed this lottle program BEFORE importing the profiles. Means the GeForce 3D Settings Profile Manager was closed and the file for check of existance didnt exist. Thats teh normal way. If you say you HAVE imported and you get the sucess message fom GeForce 3D Settings Profile Manager means:
1. You have done the things right
2. you have closed the GeForce 3D Settings Profile Manager
3. the file was, why ever, not created that shouldafter profile update so the driver change tool tells you FAIL
==> Have you closed the GeForce 3D Settings Profile Manager manually after the sucess message and THAN the tool tells you FAIL, or was GeForce 3D Settings Profile Manager closed after its success message and the driver canger tells you FAIL at all?
==> Have you tried the procedure twice?
AT THE END it doesnt really matters what the Driver changer tells you (FOR/WHILE performing profile update), if you use GeForce 3D Settings Profile Managerm import a profile txt-file and it tells you SUCCESS. :woot But its a bit wired why this behavior happens. But as i told you, its no a REAL prove ^^
So, do you have updated the profiles to version 457.09 or the prev. one? If you have updated to 457.09, you can check if this was OK by checking the existance of the Whatch Dogs: Legion profile with profile inspector.
If you dont have Profile inspector:
http://web396.inetseite.de/3dprofiles/N ... ctorDmW.7z
Just type in watch and have a look the list.
Ran it yesterday to install 441.20 but after two auto-restarts it ended up installing 432. I wonder if it's some issue with my system as a few months back I wasn't able to install 425 - even when I tried manually, I was ending up with 432.
I ended up installing 441.2 manually.
Hi Losti,
I used your tool to install the latest Nvidia driver. The whole process worked fine but now I want to change back to the latest working 3D driver. But the tool closes after the " UPDATING available suitible 3D-Vision Driver-Information ....
NOTE: THIS can take upto 15 seconds...." I tried many times starting as admin, did a reset with z_reset.cmd, deactivated firewall and virus detection but it doesn't work no more.
Can you tell me what to do?
I used your tool to install the latest Nvidia driver. The whole process worked fine but now I want to change back to the latest working 3D driver. But the tool closes after the " UPDATING available suitible 3D-Vision Driver-Information ....
NOTE: THIS can take upto 15 seconds...." I tried many times starting as admin, did a reset with z_reset.cmd, deactivated firewall and virus detection but it doesn't work no more.
Can you tell me what to do?
What about if you delete the Tool and unpack and Start again?
That does not help, the tool shuts down itself.
Also while "UPDATING available suitible 3D-Vision Driver-Information .... NOTE: THIS can take upto 15 seconds....".
I have not tried Losti's program, but I know that I cannot export all my NVI profiles into text format, and reimport. It simply does not work. The only way I can export profiles is via .NIP files, which then can be imported. You can export "all custom profiles" via .NIP and use that to import after a driver update. But that is the only way I know how to export/import on my system. I have no idea why the .txt version does not work.
Tool is updated NOW to install the new driver profiles without any hands on from you now and not using the txt import. You just need to start it to get all the new things updated :3D :woot :3D
Yes, I may have lacked patience, but it still doesn't work for me. I think my ESET Security Suite is interfering, since I can only disable until restart.
Another thing I am suprised at, is the tool tells me to manually disable the network adapter, then tells me instantly that it needs it and asks if I really want to do the offline mode? I am always a bit unsure, but since I already have the driver, I choose the offline mode... Thank you for all your help.
AV solutions can cause unexpected behavior. Be sure you disable it or add the folder to the whitelist.
The tool will perform ANTIVIRUS critical actions:
- change Registry entries (for startup)
- write delete and rename files (driver related and temp files)
- execute programs (7-zip, BringBack3DV, wget, rcedit, GeForce 3D Settings Profile Manager)
- change user permissions for several system relevant folders (in: ....\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository)
- create desktop icon
So you may need more to disable like script blocking, firewall, whatever. The best way is to completely close AV. I have bitfender and it makes strange things. BTW: internet connection is only needed for Profile update at the end or for driver download. Once downloaded or placed manually, you do not need the internet connection so offline mode will work fine.
Hello Losti!
First of all, thanks for your work for the 3D Vision community. Despite having owned a pair of 3d Vision 2 glasses for quite some time, I practically never got around to use them more than a couple of times, just for testing.
Only recently did I find out that nVidia has dropped any kind of support for 3D Vision and I happened to find out about it only because I upgraded my computer and needed to reinstall drivers for the graphic card.
I started looking around to see if there was a way to still install the most recent nVidia drivers and at the same time still be able to play with 3D Vision. My search brought me here and I read about the BringBack3DV and found out that it only works up to version 452.06.
Then I read your post pointing at this topic and I tried to understand what it is that this Tool actually does but I am not sure I understand so please bear with me. From what I could understand, it seems like what it does is to simply install the latest official nVidia driver with 3D Vision support or the latest community driver with 3D Vision support. Am I wrong?
In my system I currently have nVidia driver 461.09 and of course there is no 3d Vision support there so my question is: does this tool help in making 3d Vision available with the driver I am using? I know you wrote that option 3 in the installation menu offers to install 'your desired driver, in case you have added one to the folder "userscustomdriver"' but if we do install the most recent driver then would 3d Vision work? If not, why would we even want to go through that process?
I apologize if my questions sound silly but earlier I did try to run the Tool and it seems I never even get to the Installation Menu. It's been showing this for a long time and I am going to close it down now because I doubt it will ever go anywhere:
If I may - no, the tool wont enable 3d vision in latest drivers. It's a convenience tool to cleanly install your desired version. So for 3dv the last version is 452.06 - so that's what you need to select in the tool and just let it do its job.
The other pretty handy option (although I havent used the tool myself) is to update your current driver with profiles from a later driver. This may fix game specific issues that are in say 452.06, that got fixed in a later non 3D supported driver like 461.09 for example. Never tried it to see if this fixes certain driver related issues in various games , but would be very handy if it does.. eg Cyberpunk foliage issues in 452.06 that got fixed in a later driver.
Sadly for cp77 I tried that 452.06 driver with 460.89 profile without success with foliage with RT On, which worked perfect with driver 460.89 alone...
Hey,
Its written in the first post here in this thread and in the tool itselfe but the info is not complete. First of all:
"From what I could understand, it seems like what it does is to simply install the latest official nVidia driver with 3D Vision support or the latest community driver with 3D Vision support."
This is corret.
For the user customdriver, the tool installs 3D vision as well. BUT: Since drivers later 452.06 has no stere coalls for DX11, the installed 3D vision for later drivers will ONLY work for openGL and DX9 games.
The tool will ENSURE that you install the driver you desired to install with it, will be installed from a clean bench. Means the tool will do a DDU driver deinstallation prior the driver and 3D-Vision installation and you can, also for newer drivers, install the latest available game profile database from the latest driver. This is not bound to any driver installation via the tool. Means, if you dont install a driver via the tool, you can use it for prifile update only, if prefered. But since the last update there is also a NON DDU version to quickly swith between drivers.
SO WHY the option for drivers later 452.06 is avalable?? Because of the things written there, if you copy a driver later 452.06 to the usercustomdriver folder you can read this (i will update the discription there to NOTWORKING FOR 3D vision for DX11 games, for more clearness today ^^
461.09 - This DRIVER-FILE was added by YOU, its NOT working for 3D-Vision!!
- DRIVERS later than 452.X will NOT WORK with 3D-Vision!! (Game fixes and HelixVision will NOT WORK)
- You can install it, annyway (e.g. for native VR or Vulkan with HELIFAX wrapper if you are using Side-by-Side Mode)
You may need DCH driver for a laptop so you canalsso add this as a custrom driver to install it, if you nedd it for example.
As in the case of CP2077 you only have the chance to play it on a 3DTV or projector AND with the latest driver. But you may want to play a 3D vision game the next day, so you need driver 452.06 or below. In summary the tool was created for 2 main reasons:
- Ensure the user will not fail to install driver correctly and have a clear overview of WHICH drivers will work for 3D-Vision
- Give the user a quick solution for switching between drivers for different matters (mentioned above)
Please contact me @ our discord channel to solve your problem ifyoucant solve it by ensure to disable ANY antivirus activity, may be firewall is a problem, im not sure. But the first file you download as i can see, so its not completely sure why you cant get the update file but may be antivirus checking that this is a batch file without ending and block it?
Hello!
Thank you for helping me with further instructions. Before trying to use your Tool, I have - as I said - installed the latest nVidia drivers for my card (it's a 3060 TI so I guess older drivers can not be that good since this card was not even out at the time nVidia released driver 452.06, correct?).
After that I also installed a program I like very much: 3D Fix Manager. When I started it, it was telling me that I had no 3D Vision driver installed (because driver 461.09 does not support 3D Vision anymore as you all say) and it also told me that my current driver (461.09) was no good for 3D Vision.
At that point I clicked on "Install 3D Vision driver" even if my current driver is not really compatible with all games and now I understand from what you say that even if I cannot play DX11 games in 3D, I can still play DX9 or OpenGL games in 3D and to me that is enough because I am mostly interested in playing older games anyway.
About your Tool installation process hanging up, I will give it another try but I did whitelist the folder where the Tool is so I was hoping that my Antivirus would not cause any problems.
Thanks again for your help.
May be its a FIREWALL problem, i have a EXTRA firewall in my AV solution that blocks some things more than the windows firewall. Sometimes AV solutions will have script blockers, extended security options or something that also has to be disabled maybe.
BUT: If you have used 3DFM for install 3DVISION for 461.09 everything should be fine for you. No improvements by install things with my tool. Only difference to 3DFM is a quick and silent installation without any hands on for you than login into windows after restart AND a DDU cleaneup before driver installation, except the PROFILE update that can be performed but NO NEED if you have the latestdriver :-)
And YES, DX9 and OpenGL games should work for you now, having 3D-Vision installed with 3DFM, as wall as with my tool.
The tool is more quick if you want to switch drivers than the manual way but for a simple driver installation its the same thing 3DFM will do for you, except you will have some more hands on while the installation but if you dont swap drivers it really doesnt matter.
Great program, thank you, thank you and thank you. Now, in January 2021 I'm still using my Nvision Kit and my Geforce GTX1650 - but I'm stuck with driver 452.06. Very hard to keep Windows 10 from auto-updating to 461.09, but it worked somehow. Now reading the posts before I was wondering if there is any chance to use 3D-Vision Driver Changer and 3DFX Manager with 461.09 driver to watch 3D Movies? I don't play games at all just watching films via Nvidia Stereoscopic Player. With 461.09, 3D-Vision Driver Changer and 3DFX Manager I was able to install everything (even the Nividia 3D medical test thing) but Stereoscopic Player won't switch to 3D anymore. I was hoping if DX9 and OpenGL games work with this constellation maybe there is a 3D video player?
I have updated the Tool and fixing a Endless loop when an AV solution will kill the script, there is also a DDU-LESS-VERSION now available after the update, if you dont want use DDU to switch driver to save time. Also made a bunch of hints and error handling.
Like always, just run the tool it will auto update itselfe.
I’ve had my GTX770M crash on me for a long time, but only in some specific games, after 10–30 minutes. Some kind of driver panic. No problems under benchmarks or stress tests like FurMark. Tried older and newer versions of drivers, 0x0003 error fixed.Until I found someone else that had similar problems and it turned out to be a faulty chip. It could not run stable at stock speed.
So I down-clocked my GPU by 10% and since then it’s rock solid.
If you start the tool again, it will update to the new version.
I have added the latest driver profiles and DDU version. All the updates should be done automatically as usual.
I have added a RESTORE DRIVER PROFILE function as announced. In any Menu it should be able to choose via key 8.
Thanks Losti this will be useful. ;)
By the way, I have determined that the profile problem I experienced before was not caused by the software you prepared. ;)
Hello Losti. I've been using Driver Changer sucessfully to change between 461.72 and 452.06. Anyway, I stumbled over two questions: When I start the script it says"461.72 - This DRIVER-FILE was added by YOU, its working for 3D-Vision (DX11) !!" Shouldn't it read "It's NOT working for 3D-Vision (DX11) !!" ... I'm confused. The other thing: Changing the driver I'm always stuck in Win 10 safe mode. I tested to wait for 30 minutes but the program is stopping at that point. I have to manually go to the Driver Changer folder and start 3D-Vision_Driver_Changer.cmd again. Is that only on my system?
Thanks for helping
Hm....In Save mode you should get a message that DDU is running, or will the script not being opened in safe mode? Hard to say what happens to you, please ensure there is no antividus beeing active but i think you have done this? You can also use the NO-DDU version that skipps the save mode if you are sure you once have cleaned up and clean installed one of the drivers. In general it should be OK. You only need/should do DDU-clean installation in case of some strange behavios in games/fixes etc.
I have made some mistake for the download link its ok now. But for me if i click the link nothingwill happen, i need to right klick the link, open in a now windows (not tab) and then klick to the URL and press ENTER. or right klick the link, copy the link, paste it in a new tab and press enter. I dont know why the dl is not starting by just clicking the link ^^
The tool installes the desktop-XXXX-64bit-international-whql driver. You may need another one? Not sour. If so, just put it into the userscustomdriver folder for installation with key 3 in main menu from the tool.
Hi losti, thanks so much for the response. Please let me explain my situation
I have been using 3dfixm and your tool for a couple months now. for the past months everything was great, could watch 3d in chrome browser vr style no problem, also i was able to play games in 3d. specially ghost recon wildlands in CMU.
Now i run all the tools but I cant seem to get my system to recognize the frequency as it used to. The only way i can get back to watching 3d in chrome browser and all 3d content is if I run your previous tool version, the very first that added a driver HACK that you could enable. This way my screen thinks everything is 3d and runs great. Except Ghost Recon Wildlands in 3d CMU. Because it calls for a directx erro 5052 something like that, also Eeasy Atni Cheat recognizes the hack and stops the process. So... Is there a way to get Ghos recon wildlands to regonize properly as before so teh injection of the CMU can happen properly. At this moment I get the refresh rate correctly, my monitor ROG QR recognizes nvidia stereo and goes into lightboost 120. But the freeking system doesnt start anything in 3d.. event went trough the wizzard, install unininstall, rollback, went to recovery point.. poop im out of ideas.. been thinkering for over 2 days. Is there a way to force 3d into everything in your pc so when something 3d comes, for example chrome browser vr, it can be eeasily detected. Also can you give me please, please, some guideance with how to quiclkly and efficient run Ghost Recon Wildlands with CMU. Ive done all this before so I know it can be done. Cheers mate big big cheer for yoour support
You may have to click to the window of the script because if it starts and something gets in foreground you see the windows of the scipt but if its not active in the foreground you THINK you are but you are not and so you cant press any key to continue.
On some systems you may need to wait longer than normal or it feels like the script freezes, but still be patient until it continue. On my Laptop this case happened, i have to wait approx 5 mins until the script continued to work....dont ask me why ^^ but its an older model :-)
If driver download fails you have antivirus actions active in background/connection issues, provided that the inetsolution server host is not offline, OR your download rate is so LOW that the script "thinks" you are offline. You can download the Driver 425.31 and/or 452.06 without the tool and place it to this sub dir of the tool: ...\driverstorage ... it should look like this:
Image
NOTE: ONLY place drivers with version 425.31 and/or 452.06 here, others will be ignored.
If you do so, by selecting one of this drivers to be installed (option 1 or 2 in the tool main menu) no download is needed/performed.
For any other driver, store the driver installation file in the ...\userscustomdriver folder and choose option 3 to install from the main menu.
Hope this helps.
Would be glad if you can give me some feedback about your progress.
After hrs. of work on my system after some windows update fault and after tracking issues down using this method to prevent driver updates: viewtopic.php?p=177250#p177250
1. DO not use this method to prevent driver updates, USE THIS: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/disa ... windows-10
===> For me, in some cases, windows is even updating the driver, so if something is wrong with 3D/3DGames, check the intalled driver, may it was updated to later than 452.06
2. I run into massive issues installing a GPU driver after the latest windows updates (march 2021, that installation to perform costs me arround 8 hrs today.....screw MS-WINDOWS.....), no matter what method i was using! After this updates, the following issues occures on my desktop PC as well as on my Laptop:
--- Restarting in save mode for DDU cleaneup seems to be freezing ANYTHING in save mode, i need to wait approx 5 minutes until the DDU cleaneup starts
--- The RESTART introduced by the driver tool after DDU cleaneup tells you that some application prevents it, you will be asked to restart: DO NOT DO THIS, JUST WAIT!!!! ... for the automatic restart!
--- NOW the system started again in save mode, i do not know WHY!! In this case the driver tool will NOT be started and: DO NOT START IT manually!!! Means: If you end up in save mode after restart, RESTART your system again MANUALLY!
---Now everything should be run as expected!
I do not have any idea about the things that today was going on after the latest windows updates but anything i have tried and the results was NOT related to the driver chaingin tool. Any other method where also afflicted by strange behavior!
Just wondering: So far I have never seen the "driver-hack" info or enabler/disabler in your tool, could it be because I didn't install my 3DV driver using your tool (I used BringBack3DV)?
Jepp thats it. But you can use 3DFM to disable and reenable it....If i remeber right. Than you can also see it in the driver tool.
Thanks for the tip but unfortunately after disable/enabling the driver-hack a few times with the help of 3DFM, I still cannot see the option in your tool.
Anyway, it is not that important. Next time if I have to reinstall a driver, I'll just use your tool from the start.
Wanted to ask people who have used this tool alot, how long on average does it take for you to switch drivers and have everything good to go, start to finish?
Was excited to see RDR2 got DLSS, but found out I need to update drivers. Luckily I have dual boot setup, and I was planning to move 3d vision to the backup windows install. Wanted to check if this tool can be done very quickly. Thanks!
The first time you are using the tool you perform a DDU clean based driver installation that lasts a bit longer with 2-3 restart (this depends on your prev. driver and installation and how messed up it was). I suggest to do this using the given options installing the driver 425.31 or 452.06. I have issues with the 425.31 ref. Newer games and not disabled 3DV so i prefere 452.06. You do not need to do anything than decide if you want to install NV-GFE or not. Everything else is based on your driver and OS installed automatically.
After performing the first clean driver Installation you have 2 options to install a other driver. With DDU or without. Basically it should be ok switching drivers with the non-DDU version. A desktop link is present for you to start it. This is fastet and only one restart. If anything is not cool witht the driver setup the tool warns you. But in general if you dont install driver via other methods it should work switching between 2 drivers without DDU cleanup.
Please note: the first time you are using the tool will download 425.31 or respectively 452.06. This will be skipped next time you choose this driver for Installation.
Any other driver needs to be downloaded by you and placed in the usercustomdriver folder of the tool for its Installation.
The time to switch drivers depends on your system. But using this tool is the fastest and savest way you can go those days. You should try it and find out if this is cool for you if you prefere another way.
In some weeks I will release an Update presenting a fast Switch mode. This will Skip any hands on or warning message and will ne available if the tool was first used with the DDU cleanup and allow you to switch between the first installed 3DV compatible driver and a custom driver you have installed after this.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. Everytime I have to fix drivers because windows update borked it up, such a lengthy process with DDU and using CRU to fix freesync and setup passive 3d edid, not to mention losing nvidia application 3d settings, and then blocking the new driver that windows update released... . I'll probably try using dual boot setup for a while and see how that goes.
DLSS is quite nice for red dead 2. Some minor visual glitches, but getting consistent 4k 60fps ultra on a 2080 ti and it looks very close to native 4k.
An Update can be catched if you start the tool as used to: V 2.60
- program speed up
- NON-DDU version removed and replaced with QUICK-DRIVER-SWITCH option that is included in the main program now, you will be asked for QUICK switch (non DDU) after choosing the reinstall option from the main menu (KEY 3 if tool was once used)
- an issue was fixed that leads to several restarts if you switch from NV-GeforceExperiance to no GFE or other way round
- fatal errors or no driver installed will now install 425.31 as base for prevent not working tool
- several messages was removed if once readed
- Your choice to install NV-GeforceExperiance was rearranged for more suitible driver installation progress, you dont need to do anything than login into windows after a restart now, no choices there
- latest official NV driver (STANDARD) can now be downloaded via tool (NOTE: only if i add this, so may this will be no 0-day thing ^^)
- for custom driver installation, if more than one is present in the usercustomdiver folder, the latest file is selected to install
- quick edit disabled to prevent unwanted stop of the tool by klicking to its window
NOTE: Prevention of the driver update by WIN10: USE Sledgehammer tool:
Code: Select all
An issue was fixed that simply CLOSES the driver tool and deny propper installation of driver if you have a windows user name containing spaces. I have set version to 3.00 because this is a major update. NOONE having a space containing username was able to usethis tool...SORRY. If you start it it will update and reset the tool tracking process ONCE to make sure issues caused by this problem do not deny driver installation. So do not wonder about this initial tool reset. If wont afflict your current driver installation.
THANK YOU Dugom for tracking this down with me!!!
I decided to install the 425.31 driver (mainly due to the other performance comparison thread here, as I was using 452.06 before) and for the first time I used this driver changer tool (before I always used solely bringback3dv).
All is fine except a bizarre thing, something I never experienced before, which is, whenever I enable the 3DV in the nvidia CP, my display switches permanently into 3d mode. Before, the 3d mode only got enabled, whenever I started a game or application which activated 3d mode and the display reverted back to normal mode, when I left the game or application. Is this permanent 3d mode a tool related thing?
Yes its a tool related thing i experianced since switching from 1070 gtx to 1080 and now 2080. Solution is to install 425.31 on top after using the tool Installation by the normal way via Nvidia driver install file.
Though it is recommended to use DDU to remove remnants of the previous driver to avoid possible driver corruption
Indeed, I remembered that too after installing 425.31 :) But at least, by using the tool, the DDU cleanup happens automatically at the same moment.
Sure :-) The tool was designed to switch drivers and install it quickly, unfortunalety for 425.31 since > GTX 1070 its not working with the silent installation for 425.31, for me, may others. Yes DDU + normal 425.31 is the same as the tool is dooing and in this case, because of no on top installation, much faster.
I did some more tests now, I even DDU cleaned my system and install 425.31 the official way via the nvidia installer but the permanent 3d mode issue remains on Win10 21H1. So maybe it's not a tool related issue? It's the first time I'm experiencing this issue in 10 years. Could this be an incompatiblity with 21H1...?
Anyway, after installing the 452.22, the issue is gone, all is back to normal. The problem with the issue in fact is not only the permanent 3d mode, but I noticed that the stereoscopic player no longer can play videos in 3D, even though the whole display is in 3d mode. 3DV only works within fullscreen 3d games.
452.22 ?? You mean 452.06 ?? or is .22 a hotfix or vulcan driver ??
ok, I will try that next time. For the moment I am happy with the performance of 452.22 on my 5900X/RTX 2080 system.
.22 is a hotfix release. As far as I know the very last driver where one can enable 3DV. I installed it using your tool.
Just installed Windows 10 21H2 (b19044) and noticed that your tool doesn't recognize this version yet ("Windows 10 - Version NOT FOUND"). At the same time the option to disable the driver hack was gone. I guess, the two issues are related...
Thank you for reporting.
The tool should now work with Windows 11 and with the Win10-21H2 update. Just get the update via autoupdate starting the tool again.
In case someone gets stuck with the tool, this is the procedure I follow (not using it):
- Have sledgehammer enabled to avoid unwanted updates.
- DDU to uninstall old drivers.
- Install 452.06 manually (or whatever version I want to use).
- Open 3D Fix Manager, install the 3D Driver and enable the global hack (this is for me, because I don't launch games with 3DFM).
- All that's left is configuring your 3D settings and other stuff, like importing my global profile that I exported a while ago.
I had forgot about this post, until I stumbled upon it today.
But if you do not want to use Sledgehammer to block updates, it seems that it is possible to block
Nvidia Driver updates based on device id
Thus allowing all other updates to do their thing.
An ISSUE was fixed that do not let your system create the NV_Cache folder with 425.31 or 452.22/452.06 if 425.31 was installed before and you have used the repair function. Leading to extreme loading times for reload a shader fix with F10 based on MIGOTO. If you suffer from this, please reinstall the driver with the new Version of the tool.
What this Tool do:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- you need to be system admin in general
- NOTE: 452.22 is a HOTFIX of 452.06 for windows 10
- SLIM drivers are only available for 452.22/ 452.06 / 425.31, not for latest NVidia Drivers.
- ANTIVIRUS solutions can kill the tool or some actions so that it can fail, please make to disabel AV also if your system restarts until you are done with the tool. PS: WindowsDefenter is OK and can be left enabled.
- you BADLY need to prevent Windows AUTO update, other wise windows will install 451.72 in the background or after using the tool. Please check the HELPTEXT from the tool for information.
- you need a working internet connection. Do not use the tool without NETTWORK!
- if you are coming from tool version before 3.0 you should redownload the tool, AUTOUPDATE may not work properly! The new package is linked below. You can overwrite your current tool installation, no extra folder needed.
- any game profile update will DELETE your manual changes made with NVidia Inspector, you need to redo this if needed, do not forget
- performing DDU clean driver installation will force you to redo EDID override stuff
- not automatic handled issues can be fixed reset the tool by z_Reset.cmd AND restart your system, than try again
- a dummy process called dumyXXX.exe will be started sometimes and killed within the install process, to prevent double starts, please IGNORE this and DO NOT CLOSE it.
- try to keep your fingers away from keyboard while the installation process as long as you are not asked to do something; try NOT TO interrupt the script while running
- NOTE: New latest drivers will be stored in the folder "latestdriver", may check back here from time to time to delete outdated drivers if a new NVIDIA driver was available to save disk space.
What does install latest game profiles do?
Is it better to use dch or std driver for 3d? 3d fix manager says use std and your tool says use dch as it detects win10 21h2 as dch driver system and the tool recommends not to change to std.
If the tool says you have DCH than you should have DCH installed. Ifs checking some Registry entry. But you can double check. Open Nividia Control panel and in the help tap sepect system information. There you can read standard or DCH driver is installed.
Whats better i cant tell you but i might have read that DCH is not optimal for 3DV? But im really not sure. You CAN switch to standard or DCH if you want, if you have any issues, you just can go back. If you dont have any issues with 3D that might be related to the driver and or you wont switch driver, than there is no need to install a new driver.
What does the updated profiles mean or do?
What's the difference between v425 driver and profiles VS v425 driver + v512 profiles?
1. I did the Repair v425 Driver Bug. That made my PC do a restart. Then when my PC restarted, there was no more driver installed at all (low resolution). Then 3d driver tool automatically started and did some more stuff, then my PC restarted again (2nd restart). When my PC restarted the 2nd time, again there was no driver installed (low resolution). The Repair v425 Driver Bug option restarted my PC 2 times and un-installed the GeForce driver completely and left me with no driver :cry:
2. Around 20 seconds before the tool is finished when installing the driver, I noticed it says at the top in red writing something like "driver fails, reinstall GPU driver" but then the driver tool finishes around 10 or 20 seconds later and it says current driver 425.31 in green writing so it all looks OK. So did the driver installation fail or not?
3. I reinstalled v425 again using the tool (I did DDU myself in safe-mode and then used the tool in Windows normal mode). The 3D medical test worked great! I was so happy! Then I go and start a game, and no 3D. What is happening??? :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:
4. Do I have to do the Repair v425 Driver Bug EVERY TIME I want to play a game?
Hey guys,
until now I've been able to successfully install all 4xx.xx drivers with (partial) 3D support using BringBack3DV on Windows 10 IoT 1809. However, it no longer works with 5xx.xx drivers. With 4xx.xx drivers, there was a Stereoscopic section in the Nvidia control panel, and I could switch the GPU into HDMI 1.4 3D frame packed mode by running "nvstlink.exe /enable". With 5xx.xx drivers, the Stereoscopic section in the Nvidia control panel is no longer there. The "nvstlink.exe" file is still there, but starting it does absolutely nothing now.
So instead of using BringBack3DV, I now tried the 3D-Vision Driver Changer. It offers to install 512.15. I've tried both with and without DDU. Installation seems to mostly succeed, but in the very end, after having tried to install 3D Vision, it reports "FATEL-ERROR: SOMETHING WENG WRONG, the driver installation WILL BE RESTARTED ...". And I get the same symptoms as with BringBack3DV: Namely no Stereoscopic section in the Nvidia control panel and starting "nvstlink.exe /enable" does nothing.
Is this finally and completely broken with 5xx.xx drivers now? :( :( :(
Of course I'd love to stay with 4xx.xx drivers. But seems the 3080 12GB doesn't work with 4xx.xx drivers. And of course later this year the 40xx GPUs won't run with 4xx.xx drivers, for sure.
Thanks, madshi.
1. Installing drivers with the tool the first time is not recommended to do without DDU cleanup.
2. 3DV is NOT working with drivers past 452.22, so you CANT use 30er series cards for 3DV. But for VULKAN fixes from Halifax and for VR or SuperDepth3D (Z3D, not geometric) from Reshade.
Hey Losti, thanks for your reply!
I've tried both with and without DDU cleanup and it fails either way.
I don't need 3DV itself to work, I don't even have 3DV hardware. I just need the Nvidia Stereoscopic driver to work. Basically I need the Nvidia control panel to have a "Stereoscopic 3D" section. That's all I need and it works fine for me with all 4xx.xx drivers (not limited to 452.22, works also with newer 4xx.xx drivers), but not with 5xx.xx, when using either BringBack3DV or the 3D-Vision Driver Changer.
However, good news is that bo3b suggested (via email) that I use the "3D Fix Manager" to repair the "Stereoscopic 3D Driver" and it actually manages to fix the problem. I now have the "Stereoscopic 3D" section back in the Nvidia control panel, when using 5xx.xx drivers. So somehow the "3D Fix Manager" manages to make the Stereoscopic 3D section appear in the Nvidia control panel, while BringBack3D and the 3D-Vision Driver Changer don't manage to achieve that. Well, at least that's how it is on my PC. Maybe it's specific to the Windows IoT 1809 build I'm using, I can't say for sure.
I still have one problem remaining now, though: Although the Stereoscopic 3D section is back, it causes a 4-5 second delay, every time the Nvidia control panel is opened, and every time I switch from a different page to the Stereoscopic 3D page. I also get the same 4-5 second delay when calling the NVAPI "Stereo_IsEnabled". So there's still a problem for me. But at least apart from this 4-5 second delay, everything's working again now.
In case it helps anybody, I've uploaded a patched nvSCPAPI64.dll here:
http://madshi.net/3dvDchFix.zip
This patched file fixes the 5 second delay that occurs e.g. when opening the NV control panel, when the Stereoscopic 3D driver is installed on top of DCH drivers. FWIW, this patch is a very ugly hack. Maybe there is a better/cleaner solution. But for now, it seems to do the trick for me.
(This fix is only for 64bit OSs.)
Hi guys, I was using this app with my RTX2070 super without issues, now I changed to a RTX2080TI and after the setup and selecting the 452.22 driver for custom 3D..the driver that is installed automatically is 456.71 without 3D...what's wrong here?
Thank you in advance!
EDIT: windows loving update was the issue, now it's working
In the process of testing the new geo-11 version of God of War, I somehow corrupted my 3D Vision software. I have been attempting to reinstall 452.22 for several hours now, using the latest version of this tool. I keep selecting 452.22, and the tool keeps installing 472.12 - even though it confirms it will install 452.22. Is there a way to manually create a merged 452.22 3DV file that will work for all game fixes?
Dual boot VR/3D Vision disk partitioning (multiple SSDs). 3D Vision - Windows 10 v1809, 425.31 driver, 32 GB, i9-9900X@4.5 GHz, hybrid-cooled 2080Ti, 4K LG E6 OLED TV with EDID. VR/geo-11 - 3080Ti with Vive Pro 2, also have Aero, wireless lens-modified Vive Pro, Index, Reverb G2, Pimax 8K.
In the past, I know that some of Losti’s fixes did not like my BringBack 3DV merged driver, because it did not include some type of flag set by his driver change tool. For now, I have reverted to 425.31, which requires no merged files.
I noticed that when the script is doing its thing, there is a command window in the background running dummyXXX.exe which has a message "Not enough memory resources are available to process this command". Is that normal/harmless?
Also, I got this error at the end of the process. I don't know if it's related:
When I started the script I had 452.06 Standard installed, with 3D Vision drivers from 3DFM. I selected 425.31 in your script menu. Now after it has run, it says I have 425.31 installed, but there is no stereoscopic 3D option in the Nvidia Control Panel.
Hi guys,
I have a question related to this method, what's the difference of using this method or the 3DFix manager driver installation? With the 3Dfix manager is quite simple..is the same driver? is this tool updating a newer 3D driver?
Thank you in advance!
Did something change recently with 3D Vision Driver Changer? I don't have the option of repairing the driver anymore. I only have the regular install option. I already have driver v425.xx installed and 3DV Driver Changer recognizes that but still no option to repair anymore.
EDIT: I re-installed the driver but using the tool instead of normal install and the repair option is back. I guess the driver needs to be installed from the tool in order to have the repair option,
Why does this happen and what does it mean? If I install the driver myself then the Driver Changer tool will not give me the repair option even though it recognizes that I have the driver installed. Is it supposed to do this or is this a bug?
Yes, I realized that later. The tool has to install it first. It's a great tool. Very convenient and easy to use.
Hey Losti,
I'm facing the following issue, after installing 452.22, most of the games are working in 3D, but the performance of my computer is affected. I tried formatting my computer and then I realized that after the installation of 452.22 my computer is not working as expected. For example, when I open the browser it takes more than 4-6 seconds in loading the search bar, or opening a game, it's taking a lot of time.
Funny thing, when I install 425.31 the computer is working fine most of the games are not working...any solution?
Thank you in advance buddy!
I have been using 452.22 for a long time. I'm about to purchase a game that requires 516.94. I don't care about playing the new game in 3D, however I don't want to lose 3D capabilities for my other games. What are my options?
When I try to open 3D-Vision_Driver_Changer.cmd I can see a white screen that closes quickly. The dumyXXX.exe stays opened in the command windows and says "The system cannot find message text for message number 0x2350 in the message file for Application."
I already tried all of these solutions: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... 485e00ebcb
Any idea what could be the problem?
Hi, first of all a big thank you for your work. Unfortunately the tool doesn't work for me. I tested it on windows 11 23h2 and on win10 22h2. It behaves identically in both cases. I start the script, a window with a white background opens, updates and some things are downloaded and then the white window with the blue letters closes. What remains is a CMD window (dumyXXX.exe) that says:
"The system did not find a message text for message number 0x2350 in the message file Application.
There are not enough memory resources available to process this command.
C:\3dvdc>"
This happens when I start the tool for the first time. If I start it again afterwards, the white window pops up briefly and then disappears again without any writing and the dumyXXX.exe is up again. If I reinstall the drivers after the DDU (with the 3dfm) the same game starts again.
I created a folder directly on the "C" drive. I also tried it on “D”. with and without privileges, with reset 1+2.cmd.. if you can deduce something from that: main setup is win11/5800x3d/b550/2080ti 2nd is win10/i5 2320/b75m/660ti
any suggestions for solutions?
The dumm exe ia normal and things run in background so may be needs some patient without you have to do anything that just wait. Problem is that batch sometimes fails due to timings and it may don't work properly. The tool uses ddu and installs the desired driver and 3DV for this. So using ddu, install 452.22 and use 3DFM should to the same. But make sure updates for drivers are disabled in windows like windows updates or use sledge hammer to prevent.
I can imagine that windows 11 don't work because of file paths, permissions etc.
Hi Losti, the "download and installation link" is not working.
Already has your version 4.3 installed and working.
Need to do the driver hack part because 3DM removes it.
It refuse to connect to internet and cannot proceed beyond the connection screen.
Anyway to do just the driver hack part of the routine offline?
Appreciates any assistance.
Thanks.
Now I don’t remember why, but I stopped using Bring Back 3DV a long time ago. Driver Changer is the best solution for hacking new and DCH drivers.
If it's not difficult, write the version of the drivers that you hacked. And in what way?
3D-Vision Driver Changer uses BringBack3DVision to hack the driver. However, i have updated the tool to work with a new webspace i set up. I have attached the new version that you need to copy its content over the old one. Let me know if this is working for you.
Hello dear 3D fans,
sorry but I do really not understand at all, where/what to download, and
what to install one after another, in order to use the 3D Vision Driver Changer tool.
I went through the whole topic, but most download links do not work.
The only ones which work for me, seam to have incomplete contents,
at least when I start them, they tell that files are missing.
This is the only files, that I was able to download:
3D-Vision_Driver_Changer.zip
from Kermitou 11.02.2023, which seams to be a patch to
copy over an existing 3D Vision Changer Tool.
Which I dont have.
DriverChanger_4.24_CopyOverUpdate.7z
from Losti, which I should copy over the "existing installation", which I do not have.
A link to viewtopic.php?p=189954#p189954
to some "driver hack". There I could also not find the 3D VDC.
Additionally, if I read through all pages, it seams, I need to have DDU, because the tool uses it.
I downloaded it, but where to put, so that the 3D Vision Driver Changer will find it,
or it does download DDC itself as required (alt least for the Nvidia Drivers, I understood,
the tool will download it, if necessary)?
However, I found the post which says that I could put the Nvidia Drivers to
C:\Users\Losti\Downloads\3D\driverstorage\
(where I hope it will be C:\Users\<username>\Downloads\3D\driverstorage\ and not a hard coded user name)
Thats fine, I will do so, so it will be faster. But another question immediately, there is written it only accepts
drivers 425.31 or 452.06. But somewhere else 452.22 is recommended, if I understood right
(but may not be necessary for me, as I do not use any Video Game at all)?
And, I guess, I should prepare the non DCH drivers?
In the "Documentation": The link under the chapter "Download and installation" for 3D-Vision_Driver_Changer4.7z does not work.
Its typically for me to not find things, which are in front of my eyes :) :)
But really can not find what to download, but reading the thread, obviously I am the only one.
Please help me :)
Info:
I am using Win10 22H2, Nvidia RTX 2070 Super, Monitor Acer XB270H.
I disabled Automatic Driver Downloads, as suggested in some link,
and will disable Antivirus before installation.
Intention is, to use the Stereoscopic player to show 3D pictures, and play 3D Videos (mpo, or sidebyside mpegs).
In fact, I am using Magix Video Pro X15 for 3D video cutting, and a Panasonic HDC-Z10000 3D cam,
and a Fujifilm 3D photo cam, and still want to use it for my own 3D videos :)
I am not using any Video Game all, and will not.
Best regards, Juergen
With driver 452.06, you can easily do it manually as well.
post any questions about the manual method, in that thread
Thanks 3DNovice!
I decided, to first give the Bring Back 3D a try, which you also list as solution there. That worked immediately perfect. I use the 452.06 driver.
Windows 11 success:
It may be interesting for someone,
I was now successful with Bring Back 3D and the driver 452.06 (Win10-64bit),
even with Windows 11! The driver to my surprise installs under Windows 11 and all works perfect again.
I am using Stereoscopic Player and Magix 3D Video cutting only, no gaming.
After installing, this time I locked driver updates/installing, following this idea:
https://www.howtogeek.com/263851/how-to ... c-drivers/
It needs to be locked only after BB3D was run, otherwise, the driver can not be installed.
In case of a wished future update, you need to keep in mind of course, to unlock this again.
I'm sorry, please clarify. The project is completely closed, or should we wait for it to be restored?
Now I don’t remember why, but I stopped using Bring Back 3DV a long time ago. Driver Changer is the best solution for hacking new and DCH drivers.
If it's not difficult, write the version of the drivers that you hacked. And in what way?
Thanks.
3D-Vision Driver Changer uses BringBack3DVision to hack the driver. However, i have updated the tool to work with a new webspace i set up. I have attached the new version that you need to copy its content over the old one. Let me know if this is working for you.
The original file appears to be missing from the server. Could you kindly re-upload it at your earliest convenience?
I would rly like to install the driver 452.06 on the current Windows 11 version. However it doesn't work. I presume it might work with this "3D-Vision Driver Changer" here? Please reupload it :) Or is there another way to force Windows 11 to accept the driver? Thank you :)
Also a small question: is it necessary to install a driver for the controller (the pyramid-like emitter)? Or is it enough to install the Nvidia driver and the 3D Vision driver (which should include everything else needed)? Because right now using the newest 576.52 driver with the 3D-driver it does show the 3d-effect in the control panel. Also in Tomb Raider Remake it seems to work. However the glasses dont "work". The emitter is active and the glasses seem to be as well (green light) but it doesnt work. 3D stereoscopic effect is the same with and without the glasses. Something aint activating. So either I need the 452.06 driver badly or I need sth. for the emitter/glasses to activate?!
You can only install that driver if you have an old enough video card. Last supported card was 2080ti. Anything newer than that requires newer drivers. That driver will work on Win11, but it's maybe not the best idea. For best compatibility with old stuff, you are better off to run old stuff.
It is possible to use NVidia 3D Vision on latest drivers, but it gets kind of complicated. You cannot use any regular DX11 3Dmigoto fix, but lots of times you can use geo-11 and update the dlls. Then the output mode is tricky. If you are using 3D Vision hardware with emitter, you can use nvidia_dx9 output mode in geo-11, which doesn't work about half the time. There is a new closed-source tool WibbleWobble, which you can add to drive your emitter+monitor. That takes geo-11 output and converts it to old 3D Vision hardware without needing the driver.
Pertinent to the thread- if you need to just install the 3D Vision Driver itself, you can either use 3DFM, or a different open-source tool I developed which just installs without any questions. https://github.com/bo3b/3DV_Installer/r ... tag/v1.0.1
This tool handles the version conversions and standard setup including ticking the "Enable advanced Settings". Since all modern drivers are DCH, you will get stalls in the UI when poking around the 3D control panel. I'm hopeful I can fix these stalls using this tool, but it will take more work.
