Hold on before you run out to buy a new TV! You may have seen the report on Engadget stating that, according to a Sony rep, all PS3 games will run in 3-D with a software update next year. We contacted Sony ourselves to learn more about what sounded like a major megaton to let slip at a trade show.

Interesting. Reading the comments there were actually some refreshingly positive posts.

That sounds about right... how was the PS3 going to magically get 2x the performance for the second view?
The PS3 slim might be some sort of Trojan horse, since it could easily be 2x faster than the original PS3 that was built with much bigger micron chips, but you'd also need 2x the memory.. and of course game optimization for each game.
I never believed it, it sounds to me like the people at IFA were completley clueless, and now Sony is trying to set the record straight... somewhat.

Or someone at Sony was completely clueless and thought it would be applied to all existing games hence saying to Engadget that it would be.Kamus wrote:I never believed it, it sounds to me like the people at IFA were completley clueless, and now Sony is trying to set the record straight... somewhat.

3D is the Future of Viewing Tech, you see in 3D naturally so how can it not be something you want on your screens?!
