I've listed as many current 3D Vision ready monitors as I could find.

Even though G-Snyc needs to be disabled to play in 3D, I've still also included whether or not the monitors support G-Sync.

Note: Re. the quality of the panels used for the current 3D monitors: check the amazon ratings to see the customer feedback. The quality control for these monitors seems to be almost non-existant and buying Asus gaming monitors has even been referred to as "the Asus lottery" because so many of them ship with dead pixels and terrible light bleed, so "caveat emptor" (buyer beware). Be aware that this is the current state of gaming monitor panels.

Whether to Get a 1440p or 1080p Monitor

That's really up to you, but in considering this, it might be worth running searches for benchmarks of the games you want to play.

Here are some benchmarks of games running at their highest settings. I've halved the frame rates to give an approximate idea of how many frames per second might be possible with a GTX 1080 or an RTX 2080, in 1080p & 1440p (figures sourced from: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digi ... marks-7001)
