How turn 3DVision at 1920x1080x120Hz?
Where I can find EDID file from UHD-40 for patching HD27HDR ?

I don't have either of those projectors, but, you could try this file which I downloaded from the old forums some time ago.
There have been so many EDID files floating around that I genuinely don't know the context of this one though.

In principle, I think Paul Dusler created the original UHD40 EDID and he pretty much removed most of the modes apart from 1920x1080x120Hz. But don't quote me on that!

You should be able to create your own with ToastyX's Custom Resolution Utility (CRU). 3D vision uses the name of the display (in the top field of CRU) to identify if it's a known supported display or not.

*edit* added a list of hardware. It wil be out of date and someone else did it, not me, but this is as good a place for it as any.

Thanks for posting and also confirming that the new UHD30 works. I believe the UHD30 is the EU version of the UHD50X, which supports 240hz input!

IF you have time, tt would be really interestring if you could try and create a custom resolution in the nvidia control panel of 1920x1080x240Hz and see if it works.

On the thread over at AVSFORUMS (https://www.avsforum.com/forum/68-digit ... tor-4.html) Mark Rejhon @ Blurbusters was really keen to get more information on how that mode looks as well.

HD-27HDR, HD-39HDR and GT1080HDR - all this Optoma models can do not only 3D in 1080р/24 Hz for movies, but also 3D in 1080р/120 Hz for gaming on PC!
Optoma UHD-40 - native 3D in 1080p/120Hz (Frame Sequental).
Other - via EDID override in "Monitor" section in Windows (native driver replacing with monitor driver from Optoma UHD-40).
I had all this PJs and confirm this...

Thanks for confirming. It does seem that Optoma support 1080p frame sequential most of the time.
Of course from that list only the UHD-40 is 4k. Also it's still not 100% confirmed that 1080p frame sequential works after the BIOS update that added other hdmi bluray modes.
Unfortunately my BenQ TK800 cannot be made to work. I've considered buying something like a HD39-HDR as well just for 3d vision...

Short Throw GT1080HDR give bigger screen. I play at 210" painted wall (sitting from 2 meters distance). With HD39HDR was 170" only.
Between screen and pj - 4,5 meters in my room.

Yes, my current PJ is relatively long throw, so I might actually be able get away with stacking projectors but with one much closer to the screen than the other.
It's a good reminder about throw distances though, I sometimes see threads on avsforums where people buy a projector but haven't calculated (or didn't know) how it works.
I'm on a 110" screen at the moment, it's just an elitescreens electric with maxwhite material, which I think is 1.1 gain.
Because it's standard screen and not high gain or ALR, I think I could fit a short throw in somewhere maybe.

Update. New Optoma laser UHZ-406 pj can work with 3DVision at 1920x1080x120Hz Frame Sequental too... With USB pyramyd only!

Thank you! More options.. Looks like most (if not all) of the modern 3d Optoma's work.
I see they have dropped the Vesa 3d sync port from the new models though, which means no RF glasses, although the emitters and RF glasses seem to be getting rarer and more expensive anyway.
