Hello
I have built a DIY 1280x720 "oculus rift", and I use it with Tridef and TrackIr - not perfect, but works. But I want something better.
I'm thinking of: 1. building another HMD, based on the 1440 6" display, and pairing it with EdTracker 2. getting DK2 3. waiting for CV.
I was aiming at option 3, but as I see oppinions that DK2 offers better tech but worse immersion, and DK2's FOV is worse, and that it may also affect the CV, i'm not that sure. Right now i'm leaning more towards 1440 DIY option "for now" and waiting for CV2, hopefully being 4k.
What would you advise?

Honestly, I would wait for the consumer Rift if you can.
DK2 is still alright, but the CV1 is just way better.

Better resolution, better refresh rate, highly improved tracking, better ergonomics, looks better, tastes better, etc., etc.

If that does't work out, I'll buy one and have it formally reviewed for everyone's benefit. Regards, Neil
