eMagin to Demonstrate Their Highest Brightness OLED Displays at CES

... management will be demonstrating their highest brightness, direct patterned micro-displays designed for the virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) market by appointment to select customers at CES. eMagin is the only company that has designed and manufactured OLED microdisplays which provide the brightness that consumer products companies demand for their next generation VR and AR headsets.

I am pleased to announce that we recently signed an additional, multi-million dollar agreement with another major Tier 1 consumer electronics company. We now have in place multiple agreements with commercial partners for next generation prototype products for consumer HMD’s and expect a considerable boost to 2017 revenue from our commercial efforts, ....

Produced samples of 2K x 2K full color RGB microdisplay project to a leading consumer product company for evaluation in December 2016. Products are expected to be available for customers during the second quarter of 2017.

Personally, I’m waiting for Panasonic’s OLED to be released Stateside. As an owner of one of their Plasma screens, I’m hoping they can replicate that processing in their OLEDs (even though they also use panels from LG Display.)
