Really!!! Do All question must strart with "Is" "Are" "do" and must end with "?" then only it will be considered as questions....thats way to narrow "Syntax" frame to define questions.

ok then mine were twisted questions, none of them non public kind of though. As its already answered by angered VRCleverbot but i would rather appreciate from THE MAKER (Mr.Luckey)as he found time to answer quiteboy (the GreatShowMan) after all .......!!!!

What an ignorant statement.

Think for a minute.. think.

Can you imagine how many 1,000,000's people there are (perhaps 100's of millions) that suffer from various disabilities and disfigurements? Not just physical but mental as well. People that have HUGE problems forming relationships or interacting with others.

VR and certain types of pornography could have huge far reaching impacts into society, for the better, not just the bad. Giving people confidence and allowing them to experience situations, feelings and emotions they may never, EVER be able to experience for real. Across all sexes and sexualities.

You can be anything, be anyone etc etc

Open your mind.

I'm not saying that statements can't be questions, but there are certain grammatical clues to let someone know you are asking a question instead of making a statement. For your most recent post questions, for example, the reader has to add a "What are the" or "What is" to the beginining to make them a question. I don't think it is too narrow to define a question as a sentence with the punctuation mark associated with questions. I realize English isn't your first language and I don't want you to feel like anyone is making fun of you - just some friendly internet correction. Yes, really... And the way you stated it, it IS "way too narrow", but only because you left out the the "Five W's" (and 'H'), which must also end with a question mark. That is basic English grammar, and it goes a long way to help prevent miscommunication.

At a very young age, children learn that in English, "who, what, when, where, why, and how" are the primary leading words in questions. They are called in English grammar the "Five W's" (plus 'H'). They are taught again at a later age as investigative priciples :
The Five Ws, Five Ws and one H, or the Six Ws are questions whose answers are considered basic in information-gathering. They are often mentioned in journalism (cf. news style), research, and police investigations. They constitute a formula for getting the complete story on a subject. According to the principle of the Five Ws, a report can only be considered complete if it answers these questions starting with an interrogative word:
- Who is it about?
- What happened?
- When did it take place?
- Where did it take place?
- Why did it happen?

Some authors add a sixth question, “how”, to the list, though "how" can also be covered by "what", "where", or "when":[3]
- How did it happen
Each question should have a factual answer — facts necessary to include for a report to be considered complete. Importantly, none of these questions can be answered with a simple "yes" or "no".
In British education, the Five Ws are used in Key Stage 3 (age 11–14) lessons.
The keywords you mentioned "Is, Are, Do" are primarily used for simple "yes" or "no" questions, and not for seeking information where the "Five W's" are important.

Although it is considered lower class slang to form a question as a statement followed by ", right?", it is considered to be bad grammar and annoys many people.

Just making a statement followed by a question mark is a sure sign of a lack of English proficiency, identifying somebody immediately as a "foreigner" to native English speakers. And leaving out the question marks just makes them bold unsubstantiated claims, which demand supporting evidence and substantiating proof.

With poor grammar, you are sure to be misunderstood, and you can make people angry when what you intended as a question is received as misinformation or a challenge to debate with others.

Grammar is important for understanding, ESPECIALLY in a multi-cultural forum such as this, and even more so in a thread that invites debate like this one.

However, your posts are filled with other annoying grammatical errors as well, beyond just question formation. Even so, we (mostly) think we understand what you are trying to say... But good grammar would help... A lot!

Pornography is regarded by some as one of the driving forces behind the expansion of the World Wide Web, like the camcorder VCR and cable television before it. Pornographic images had been transmitted over the Internet as ASCII porn but to send images over network needed computers with graphics capability and also higher network bandwidth. This was possible in the late '80s and early '90s through the use of anonymous FTP servers and through Gopher. At this time the internet was mainly an academic and military network and there was not widespread use of the internet. One of the early Gopher/FTP sites was at tudelft and was called the Digital Archive on the 17th Floor ... The majority of viewers of online pornography are men; women tend to prefer romance novels and erotic fan fiction. Women comprise about one quarter to one third of visitors to popular pornography websites, but are only 2% of subscribers to pay sites. Subscribers with female names are flagged as signs of potential credit card fraud, because "so many of these charges result in an angry wife or mother demanding a refund for the misuse of her card."
What we now call "porn" was previously just called "art", and it exists in what would now be considered very "hard-core" in ancient art collections. For example, check out some of the fine historical works of art in that category at this web page:
In early times, erotic depictions were often a subset of the indigenous or religious art of cultures and as such were not set aside or treated differently than any other type. The modern concept of pornography did not exist until the Victorian era. Its current definition was added in the 1860s, replacing the older one meaning writings about prostitutes. It first appeared in an English medical dictionary in 1857 defined as "a description of prostitutes or of prostitution, as a matter of public hygiene."
As you can see, the word "pornography" was originally used to define writing about prostitution, but it was later misappropriated by the Victorians and used to describe artwork that they did not like (and persists to this day, as can be seen by the prudish Victorian thread title).

And as I previously posted, there is evidence that what we call "pornography" predated human language, so it is a fine old tradition going back to perhaps pre-human history.

Even the space-alien time travellers from the future of common mythology probably have porn. How can they not (unless they use purely asexual reproduction)?

Erotic art history (with some fine art galleries, but browsing deeper than this link may be NSFW):

As i have confirmed mr.BUSY palmer still read this thread and can still find few minutes to respond out of his dame dame buzy geeky development cycle here are mine too few question, sir here i go

1) How many chances we can see Android Powered RIFT with NVIDIA TEGRA4 or Snapdregon
600/800 or Exynos 4412 studed in it which can be self sufficent other then taking output from
PC?

2) What if you ever go for DEVKIT2 , will you make it little bit future proof at least future proof till
consumer version??

3) I would love to see WHite LED backlit LOGO OF RIFT just like SONY DID WITH HMZ-T2 a glowing blue logo SONY that says its powered, You can keep color changing LED like notification lights in Mobile displaying content on/off , power on/off it will be cute, what say??

4) Its very very tough to wait for consumer version >>>>Its not question :D

This is from my post 16 Jul 2013 02:50 on page3 of this Topic

its self evident that all question before started made clear as questions

Q1 start with "How" and ends with '?' though long it was, but complete.

Q2 start with "What" amd ends with '?' again long, but complete.

Q3 Begins as statement (thats only statement in my all 3 questions) but at
end of it '?' expects opinion of palmer on suggestion and there
was no rude slang anywhere.here it was more like "it will look cute, isn't
it? (not, slang to form a question as a statement followed by ", right?")

Q4 Was expression and it was made clear there only its not a question

So where really i m wrong?

its not that, i do not value response from those who have good indepth technical knowhow and those who given their valueable time in answering .when there is preferance for answer from palmer luckey its pure purpose was to know his feelings and not to hurt any one tried to answer them with their best knowledge.i appritiate improvements and believe learning is ever going process. My purpose of posting here is never intened to invite misunderstandings. If that happened, its deeply regreted.

Tumblr did not ban porn. They banned a specific set of search queries that commonly lead to porn.

There is still porn on tumblr, and the TOS still does not forbid porn.

it's no coincidence that this change was made by those in power as photography was making such scenes accessible to more and more of the population.

Hardware vendors banning content (impossible to enforce in this scenario anyways) would be a sure fire way to have them lose to another competitor. No matter how you look at it, there will be massive demand for VR adult entertainment and consumers will just turn to another product that supplies it - Oculus will eat their dust to bankruptcy.

We need to support and ensure the public understand that the onus is not on Oculus to police how their Hardware is used. Just like a laptop manufacturer doesn't police what you browse on the internet. VR innovation will be stunted under strict rules and regulations.

What would be cool is retina detection linked to accounts to ensure that under age children don't get to play age-restricted games or view age-restricted content. I feel it is a disservice to children to expose them to certain adult content before their time, they will get their chance, but they should also enjoy their innocence while they can. This will also help with the incoming controversy of violent, hyper realistic VR scenarios being played out by children who have not yet matured enough to appreciate what it is - an 'virtual' experience and unacceptable in the real world.

Banning porn, too funny.

Come on, i can totally see a huge amount of Rifts being moved that will never see anything else! Any why not, they will provide an outstanding virtual reality experience with a fleshlight and proper positional tracking and some haptical feedback (that is not the fleshlight)

i think palmer and the team are good men. i hope they consider this.

All of these reports are talking about the effects of porn on children. Obviously there should be parental controls in place for this stuff. However, based on my personal experience, there were no adverse effects due to early access to porn. I first stumbled across porn on the internet when I was ~10 and my sex life is pretty standard (probably too standard  ).

pornography negatively affects adults too. we can find tons about this on internet

pornography causes unequivocal harm to society by increasing rates of sexual assault
Effects of Prolonged Consumption of Pornography reported a review of controlled studies which found that extensive viewing of the type of pornographic material commonly sold at adult bookstores was positively correlated with leniency in the sentencing of a person convicted of rape in a mock trial setting (figure 5), decreased satisfaction of participants with their sex lives and partners (figure 10), and an increased self-reported willingness to commit rape or other forced sexual acts
http://profiles.nlm.nih.gov/NN/B/C/K/V/

I was willing to read your thread and argument until you made this point. If you don't understand that correlation doesn't imply causation than you aren't any better than the people who deny evolution or global warming (argue the causes all day if you want, but it's a measurable fact that the earth is getting warmer). Please learn proper scientific method before proposing your ideas.

One thing that i really would like to know is, if a back and forward moving fleshlight (or a enhanced bigger silicon haptic substitute) and a hyperhyperrealistic(short REAL) virtual woman of choice could replace real sex. (you know this so much better real sex feeling in comparison to masturbation)
What still is the motivating force in this world is sex, plain and simple. Now if a VR sextoy experience could deliver that ............. then we would come to a part where this whole thing is getting really creepy.

Yep, VR Sex is good to replace MB but really will not come even a feet near real one,as Sex has many things other then involvement of some thing between the lags. How will you rate to see the satisfaction/love/affection in eyes of your partner and deep hug that can infuse a soul in to another. i know this is really dreamy chocolaty and doesn't happen all the time with all the subjects. So mostly yes, but all the times no. As real is still real.

i still dont know how this would work out.... hugging and so on.....i know what you mean.....
but i can tell that i tested a fleshlight, :? they feel damn real....though its by far not enough because the visual input is missing....it makes no sense without one....(a video is not enough)
The clue here is really to fool the brain visually(virtually)...well emotional counter reactions can be programmed....though its obviously not that plain simple.....( virtual humans are getting more and more realistic)......(a pulse measuring instrument could perhaps act as a virtual orgasm conductor)
what would happen if a virtual really realistic head is getting near yours.... well i bet the brain would feel sth like human nearness or even love....(i mean sexual love, not real love ) will be so interesting to find out....
So yeah.....Could a virtual woman trigger sth like love in ourselves......the future we have in front of us will be really interesting....
I even wonder at what resolution and graphic fidelity it could already happen....

You really going to need many things to replicate the real

1) A full body with skin having or joints resembling those of real human being, having force feedback Ftorch where it should to be
2) Flexible skin with near human skin type material
3) A robotic humanoid skeletone loaded with servoes resembling human movement
4) Provision for artificial breath air feedback (if it matters of course to personal taste)
5) Sweat (too tough to create artifically)
6) Good program that sync servo movement of your VrSx Doll with visuals feeded to your eyes

To get all this require to spend you 7000USD(Roxxxy)+RIFT (i m sure makers of ROXXXY must be eyeing oculus rift for them its cool Addon acessary) still you miss many things which are exclusive to real, i leave them to your imagination but truly there are many.

Geting near perfect Sex Resembling full VR experince is still too costly affair on personal hobby, unless your really Richi Rich. But then if you are Richi Rich you can have as many real Gfs and Wh***s,that may not cost you even 700USD for super exotic experince..

ha, you have thought about everything. Roxxy is a joke.....
But, look here, hehe......

yes an inflating lung (ballon)and so on(heating elements...)......you know that next year several 3d metal printer will hit the market.....
some research team is working on unifying plastic and metal sintering printer in one machine......
Since you would have a super virtual visual input, perhaps even silicon would suffice....who knows.....
yes you would wait ages for a sex robot and pay a lot of money(for haptic feedback), but not with 3d printing technology.....
Sure it wont be that super real version of sex..... but getting somewhat close to it......

Rift + Ftorch are super grand alternative of MB,i am totally sold on this idea, yes.

Its sex as full experince alternative in nearest future (2~5 years) for even computer hobbists having moderate life style if not average, really not convinced.

funny story. first time i heard about virtual reality was when i watched as a teenager some crappy erotic film
where a woman was lying on a chair with a headset on and doing cybersex.....i really never thought something like VR was possibly. But now i am dreaming about being a sheikh in a crazy fantasy world in the not too distant future....
