How to Use MTBS' Downloads Section

Post by Neil »

Hello everyone!

MTBS is pleased to announce the availability of a downloads section for our members. This is the first time we have done this, and there is still work being done to make it prettier than it is (because we know it's still ugly!)!

While all public domain and shareware software is welcome here (except adult or obviously offensive material), priority will be given to help foster open source and community driven efforts in the areas of AR, VR, 3D, and other forms of immersive technology.

Uploading and downloading requires free MTBS membership, and we are happy to add new categories based on member feedback and demand. We very much want this to be a helpful resource for a diverse immersive technology industry, so please make good use of it!

While the username and password is the same as that used in the forums, you need to log in from MTBS' front page (http://www.mtbs3d.com) with the Log-In button under the Membership tab.

Once logged in, you will be able to download the listed files or share work of your own. Files will not be listed until an administrator approves them. MTBS has no interest or intention to sell content at this time. We just have extra disk space and bandwidth, and we thought it would be useful to have a dynamic archive for our membership provided it can be effectively maintained and used.

Regards,
Neil

Bah! I'm such an idiot sometimes. There was a cap of 2MB on uploads. :woot

Files of up to 200MB can be uploaded now, and we can adjust this depending on how things go.

Regards,
Neil
