Since the game feature and content update from March 16, 2015 (Game Build 46,371), Guild Wars 2 no longer renders shadow and ground effects properly in stereoscopic rendering mode. Until a future update fixes the shader rendering, I cannot recommend playing this game in 3D.

    Part IV: Secondary Anomalies

  • Non-solid objects including fire, smoke, lights, haze, and similar blur effects are rendered at screen depth instead of in 3D (e.g. flames appear separated from source or they don't split into left and right views like the rest of the scene).
  • QA penalty: 5%
  • Shadows rendered at screen depth and appear in both eyes, but are not separated proportionately like the other screen objects.
  • QA penalty: 5%
