While the TriDef profile disables quite a few things in order to get the game running adequately in 3D, it still plays quite nicely, and is a good fit for 3D with a lot of action and particle effects and relatively large hordes of enemies regularly surrounding you really helping to give you a solid 3D experience. Graphically the game takes quite a hit to its atmosphere, which hurts my rating, but it isn't a game where lighting effects are a fundamental part of what makes it fun. It's definately worth trying the game with TriDef if you are interested in playing the game in 3D. Personally I think the lost effects and occasional volumetric light being misaligned are about worth what you gain from 3D, but you may find otherwise.
