One of the coolest features that Meant to be Seen has to offer is it fully supports stereoscopic 3D image viewing on nearly all PC display platforms. Thanks to a special sView plugin written by Kirill Gavrilov, MTBS users are able to create their own personal image galleries, and upload and share their pictures in TRUE 3D!
Due to a limitation with HTML5, the image viewing is only possible at Meant to be Seen. However, you can also create a local image gallery here, and have thumbnailed links on external galleries that connect to a true stereoscopic 3D viewer – so everybody wins in the end! Leading platforms supported include anaglyph, interlaced, AMD HD3D, Nvidia 3D Vision, and more.
The only caveat is our server has limited space, and therefore have an image cap of about 50MB per user. So instead of uploading droves and droves of pictures, we recommend limiting to images you wish to demonstrate in our discussion forums. This will be much more purposeful, and it’s likely to draw the most attention to what you have to say and share. If your images are shared in the forums, we ask that you don’t delete them because we don’t want your posts to suddenly have no image attached.
When you register on MTBS, a personal gallery is created automatically. To take advantage of this feature, please follow these step by step instructions.
Creating Your Own Gallery
1. Make sure you are logged in with your forum username and password and go to http://www.mtbs3d.com/gallery.

2. Under the “My Profile” tab, choose “Create / Order My Albums”

5. Open your album (it will be empty).
6. With your album open, choose “Upload File” at the top of the page.

The upload manager’s album directory will default to the personal album you just opened. This is the best method to do this as it will prevent you from having to hunt for the right gallery in a long list.
From this screen, you can pick multiple files at a time. If you are sharing 3D images, make sure they are in side by side format (cross-eyed!) so the gallery can properly show it in 3D to all stereoscopic 3D users regardless of the solution they own.
Accepted image formats include JPG, JPS, PNG, and PNS. We recommend sticking to JPG and PNG if possible.
If you are uploading 3D images, make sure they are in cross-eyed side by side (full sized left and right view). Other formats will not be extrapolated properly by the 3D viewer. If you are working with MPO files, you can do a batch convert to the correct format (and more reasonable file sizes) with Stereo Photo Maker.
Once the images have finished uploading, press “Continue”.

Copy and paste this coding when you want to show stereoscopic 3D pictures in a non-MTBS forum. It’s good for providing a thumbnailed link to a true stereoscopic 3D image, or just showing a linked 2D picture that isn’t overly huge in the forum message.
This is also the best choice when showing traditional 2D pictures in MTBS’ forums because it won’t activate the forum’s 3D viewer when it isn’t applicable.

This is the best choice when handling stereoscopic 3D images to be shown on MTBS’ discussion forums. Images can be seen in true 3D form on Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, and more. Internet Explorer functionality is in development, and it already supports anaglyph and interlaced formats.
When your picture is inserted into the forum, you may find special characters in the image descriptions have been stripped and replaced. This is a safety feature, and you may have to replace the special characters with an alternative.
Everything Else
The remaining coding is for use in websites and content management systems. With the exception of thumbnailing, the inline 3D viewing will only work on MTBS due to an HTML5 limitation. Have fun!
