Immersed Europe Will Mark the First 360o Virtual Reality Conference Broadcast
Murcia, Spain (September 1, 2015) – Hosted by The Immersive Technology Alliance (ITA) and the University of Murcia, Immersed Europe takes place September 3rd to 4th (Thursday, Friday) at the Facultad de Economía y Empresa, Campus de Espinardo in Murcia, Spain. Keynoted by Simon Benson, Director of the Immersive Technology Group for Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, Immersed Europe features nearly 30 speakers from all over the world. This is a must-attend event for entrepreneurs and professionals building their career with immersive technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), gesture technology and more.
“We are very excited to participate in Immersed Europe. This is a fantastic way to bring industry experts together as well as giving the general public an opportunity to immerse themselves in future VR technologies. Streaming events like this in 360o and in VR is what sets us apart, it drives engagement and lets the viewers feel like they are right there,” said Myles McGovern, President of IM360.
Immersed Europe will be broadcasting key points during this historical event including opening remarks, the panel discussion about immersive cinema, and the much anticipated Futurists Panel featuring such names as Sony, Crytek, Epic Games and IM360. The live 360o VR experience will be viewable by technologies such as the Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR, and can also be seen with traditional players, though without the immersive VR benefits. Access will be made available at the www.immersedeurope.com website for free.
Immersed Europe will also be offering the general public a glimpse into the future of virtual and augmented reality with pre-registered free public access to the exhibition on Friday evening, September 4th. Register in advance to ensure your entry at www.immersedeurope.com.
“The public will see The Walking Dead in VR, a memorable Mission Impossible 5 virtual reality experience, augmented-reality Metaverse technology, new ideas and experiences and more… all at Immersed Europe. Come to Murcia and be part of history,” said Neil Schneider, Executive Director of The Immersive Technology Alliance.
The public exhibition will also be live-streamed so viewers can see the excitement as delegates try out experiences by InMediaStudio, Droiders, Starbreeze Studios, Nucleus VR, Chornobyl360, and more.
Immersed Europe features two full days of career building sessions given by the world’s best in immersive technology. A special 199 € single day pass for September 4th was introduced for those only wishing to attend the Friday sessions and exhibits. Immersed Europe media partners are also offering discounts against the full rate of admission that cover both days.
Discounted exhibition opportunities are available for qualified early start-ups. All qualified conference registrants receive a free year of Immersed Access, a private online community for shared learning and collaboration among immersive tech professionals ($200 USD value).
