MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Oct. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Next Galaxy Corp. (OTCBB: NXGA), a leading developer of innovative content solutions and fully immersive Consumer Virtual Reality technology, is excited to announce the launch of the beta version of Ceek.com in the upcoming month. Ceek is the gateway from the two-dimensional web to the three-dimensional metaverse, a next-generation, fully immersive entertainment and social Virtual Reality (VR) platform featuring a combination of live, virtual and augmented events and experiences designed for use with the Oculus Rift and other consumer VR headgear. The audio for Next Galaxy experiences utilizes cutting-edge omnidirectional 3D sound processes specifically designed for CeekarsTM, the Company’s first-in-class VR audio headset and haptic pad.
The beta version of Ceek.com will have several pioneering features, including multi-user synchronization (i.e. the ability for users to network with multiple videos, albeit joining prescheduled events or for on demand and streaming content).
Late in November, Next Galaxy will bring to market what has been a culmination of aggressive development to launch the demo version of Ceek.com, positioning the Company ahead of the curve as an audio VR innovator, content creation company and VR entertainment and educational hub. In the past few months, the Ceek platform has been successfully tested with multiple users worldwide simultaneously watching 3D, 360-degree and standard content. Completing the communal experience, users are able to communicate through Ceek’s real-time voice chat as if they were sitting next to each other.
The beta version is merely a glimpse of the robust, interconnected virtual world we are creating as we polish and optimize for a finished product in 2015. Our team is vigilantly working to finalize the site’s appearance and full functionality of features, including technology that will allow users to post video clips of their Ceek experiences on social media sites like You Tube and Facebook. Users will eventually be able to generate realistic 3D avatars from uploaded images, another first of its kind offering in the virtual reality marketplace.
“Facebook’s $2 billion acquisition of Oculus and now Google leading a $542 million investment in Magic Leap validates our contention that interest in Virtual Reality is reaching a fever pitch. These high profile investments are supercharging the race to make virtual a reality,” commented Mary Spio, President of Next Galaxy Corp.
The pipeline of opportunity is growing every day for us. We are in discussions with plethora of potential clients and partners, including pro sports teams, artists, museums, schools, brand marketers and more, that are looking to become early adopters of VR technology as it becomes clear VR is going to reshape business, education and communications. We greatly look forward to the beta release of Ceek.com to share the excitement that our team houses with our investors and the rest of the world.
