Game developer hopes “Darknet” will be VR breakthrough for Oculus and Samsung

The cutting edge virtual reality goggles in E McNeill’s tiny Carlsbad apartment can transport him anywhere, but the best tool for judging the quality of his work in VR is his stomach.

If the developer playtests a change to his VR game and then needs to lie down for 45 minutes because it made him feel something similar to seasickness, that’s how he figures out where to refine his programming.
