Why ZeniMax v. Oculus Matters

While at E3 this year, I dove into an impressive undersea world using the new Oculus Rift headset. Simultaneously, I thought about the gallons of hot water that Palmer Luckey, the company’s founder, must be swimming in now that ZeniMax Media has filed a lawsuit against him, alleging, among other claims, copyright infringement and misappropriation of trade secrets. Equally important is that if you’re an independent video game developer or publisher, you could easily find yourself in a similar situation.
