Uncharted 3’s 3D Utilization Is the Avatar of 3D Gaming

When Sony released a firmware update just last year enabling support of stereoscopic 3D gaming on the PlayStation 3, I was instantly a skeptic knowing that without building a console from the ground up with this technology in mind, the effectiveness would be limited. Thanks to my recent purchase of the Sony XBR-46HX909 3D LED Television, I have had the opportunity to test out numerous 3D titles within the comfort of my own home and determine if 3D really is a worthwhile feature this console generation and up to this point I would have said “No”. While games such as “Super Stardust HD” and “MotorStorm: Pacific Rift” look alright in 3D and depth is present, I was never really impressed until I gave one of the largest blockbusters of 2011 a chance.
