3D digital TV guides may be in the pipeline for Sky and Virgin Media

Virgin Media and Sky are apparently looking at how best to introduce 3D channel guides. Virgin Media is looking at ways in which it can introduce a 3D electronic programme guide (EPG) to its digital TV offering, while Sky is expected to do the same.

Kevin O’Neill, head of on-demand development at Virgin Media, said at the DTG 3D conference that his company’s recent TiVo release has paved the way for more opportunities for a better user interface and 3D capabilities, Broadband TV News reports.
