Disney to Launch 3D Phone in Japan

Walt Disney fans in Japan will be able to add a 3D phone to their collection of memorabilia, as the entertainment company releases an Android-based smartphone with branded content next month.
The Los Angeles-based company is releasing a smartphone that runs on Google’s Android 2.2 operating system through Japanese carrier Softbank. The phone — based on Sharp’s Galapagos 003SH model — features a 3.8-inch liquid crystal display with auto-stereoscopic technology, which let users watch videos and play games in 3D without the use of glasses.
