To 3D or not 3D

Will 2011 be the year you take your PC gaming 3D?

During the early to mid-Noughties, upgrading my PC to keep up with the latest and greatest games was a yearly process. There was always something on the horizon to panic me into coughing up for a zippy new graphics card or a whack of hefty RAM, from The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind to Doom 3.
However, I’ve now been running the same rig for three long years and still don’t feel the need to upgrade. Where’s that exciting new game with ridiculous tech specs to send me off to the local hardware store with my credit card in hand?
