CES 2011: The Evolution of 3D TV

3D television took some interesting twists and turns at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. Sony and Toshiba both demonstrated 3D LCD panels that work without glasses. JVC, LG and Toshiba showed passive 3D displays that use light, inexpensive polarizer glasses, rather than the larger active-shutter LCD glasses employed on all first-generation 3D televisions.
