Apple gets a 3D display patent

MAGICAL DEVICE MAKER Apple has been awarded a US patent for a 3D display system.
Filed back in September 2006, the rather blandly titled “Three-dimensional display system” patent essentially describes a method of displaying 3D images without the need for cumbersome shutter glasses. It aims to provide Apple with a way of manufacturing “practical, efficient, uncomplicated and inexpensive autostereoscopic 3D displays”. We presume the displays will be inexpensive for Apple, not fanbois.
