Sony: 3D ‘a new creative medium’

Much more than just added depth, says Sony’s Mike Hocking

SCEE’s Mike Hocking says the dawn of stereoscopic 3D gaming brings with it not just added visual depth but offers developers a ‘new creative medium’.

“We can make more games more accesible with 3D,” Hocking said, speaking at the Develop in Liverpool conference in a session titled ‘Seeing is Believing: 3D a New Creative Medium for Games’.
