Nvidia brings us big screen 3D thrills
Via is much anticipated ‘Play’ software, the US visual computing technology specialist NVIDIA has enabled users to connect their 3D Vision enabled notebooks and desktops to 3D enabled HDTVs.
NVIDIA’s system enables consumers to watch Blu-ray films on 3D HDTVs in full 1080p stereoscopic 3D and play around 500 compatible 3D video games. Users can also view 3D photos.
Before the arrival of Play, Nvidia 3D Vision technology was rather specialised in that it combined the use of GPU, special 3D glasses and driver software to deliver stereoscopic 3D effects only on compatible monitors with high refresh rates.
