BenQ Looking For Growth With Tablets, 3D Camcorders & 3D Projectors

By David Richards

BenQ is looking to expand their Australian operation with the introduction of new projectors and a move to solution based selling across the Pro AV and education markets. They have also introduced new Full HD Camcorders and a new generation of thin, backlight LED monitors and are seriously considering a move into the tablet market.

The Taiwanese Company has also eliminated their warehousing operation; instead they are working closely with local distributors Synex and Blue Chip in an effort to reduce in Country costs. They are also in talks with Multimedia Technology to become a distributor.
According to BenQ Country Manager Chee Chung BenQ sees a lot of opportunities in the Australian market. “We have the products, what we have to get right is our sales and marketing strategy. We have an excellent range of monitors including short throw models and right now we are looking for solution providers working inside specific channels to work with us. In several markets we have been #1 with our projectors which are equal to any made by our competitors” Chee said.
