Lower prices for 3D televisions and Blu-ray players will help to drive uptake of the technology, according to one leading retailer

Currys is offering shoppers a 3D TV package, including compatible television, glasses and Blu-ray player, for less than £1,000.

The move could help to drive down the cost of 3D technology across the board, say experts, giving it more mass market appeal.
