The mad maze and minefield of 3D TV
Throughout the past few months, you might have noticed a lot of push in the electronics retail for 3D TV, along with glasses that look like a serious upgrade on the previous cheap paper 3D glasses. It’s kind of like the 3D in the theatres, but not exactly…let me explain.
Remember those red and cyan glasses you’d get back in the 80’s (“free with a 7-11 Big Gulp!” if I recall one of the promotions) to watch some cheesy 3D bit of TV programming? Some of us thought it could’ve been a sign of things to come, but most found it annoying and gimmicky. This type of 3D, known as Anaglyphic 3D, isn’t at all what we’re looking at now.
