DirecTV set to offer first 3D MLB games

A few things are holding back the wide adoption of 3D home entertainment gear in the home. One of the things is the cost of the 3D sets and the fact that you need glasses to view the content. Another significant issue is the fact that right now there isn’t a lot of content available if you buy 3D gear.

DirecTV has announced that it will be the first broadcaster to offer viewers 3D Major League Baseball games. DirecTV will be offering these games in conjunction with YES Network and FSN Network. There are a couple caveats to the 3D broadcasts.
