3D TV coming into view
Sensio’s licensed software and code makes company appear to be poised for growth

Nicholas Routhier has been called both a crackpot and a visionary.
He’ll admit there have been times over the past decade when even he wasn’t so sure which label would fit best. But that’s what happens when you found a company dedicated to bringing 3D television technology into the living room when high-definition television is still a tough sell with many consumers.
Although it has been a long 10 years for Sensio Technologies Inc., the Montreal company founded by Mr. Routhier and Richard LaBerge is brimming with confidence as it prepares for the long-awaited adoption of 3D television to come to fruition.
“If you look at how HD came to be, it was a difficult birth,” Mr. Rauthier said. “Because you had to change the whole infrastructure and people had to invest a lot of money and they realized afterwards with this big investment, they still didn’t make or recoup on that investment. So telling them to change all that and go 3D would have been ridiculous.”
