NEC Launches 1080p, 3D Projector

Teachers can add a new dimension to their presentations with the projector that NEC announced today. The NP216, geared for K-12 classrooms, takes advantage of the latest Texas Instruments DLP technology that offers the ability to display images in 3D.

Among the NP216`s features are native XGA resolution (1,024-by-768); a 2,000:1 contrast ratio; the latest DLP engine featuring BrilliantColorT technology, which increases system brightness and color saturation while optimizing color gain across the full color gamut; and a rated brightness of up to 2,500 lumens. Connections include two VGA inputs, composite video, S-Video, component video using optional 15-pin adapter; RS-232 and RJ45 LAN connection, and variable audio-out. There`s also a built-in 7W speaker.
