TDVision Systems Inc. and XPAND to Partner at CES 2010, Unveiling Dominant 3D Technologies for the Home Experience

IRVINE, Calif. –(Business Wire)– Jan 07, 2010 TDVision Systems Inc., the leader in stereoscopic 3D, encoding, broadcast, and an owner of several 3D-related key patents involving standard video architectures, and XPAND, the world leader in 3D active shutter-glasses supporting numerous 3D platforms, will be offering a unique display of never before seen real time encoding adaptable to the unique XPAND patented technology. TDVision`s architecture is based on firmware and software updates to enable true 3D in High Definition on every existing and future 3D display at the best native resolution.

XPAND’s presence at this year’s CES will dominate the show’s top 3D exhibits, while debuting several products, including their new premiere product, X102 DLP Link® active glasses. With the 3D revolution at CES, the performance of XPAND is sure to be the most immersive and progressive in the world of consumer 3D applications.

At TDVision (#14944, Central Hall, LVCC) in the Experience 3D Tech Zone, show-goers will be amazed at the high quality and never before seen content displayed on a large Mitsubishi home Cinema DLP television using the X102 DLP Link® active glasses.

For the first time, users will not need an infra-red emitter to synchronize their glasses, as the XpanD X102 uses DLP-Link® technology to synchronize the units.

“The 2D+Delta stereoscopic codec preserves the full HD quality per view of top 3D content. For this reason we insist on using XpanD glasses, which are consistently of superior quality and response to any other 3D eyewear in the market,” said Ethan Schur, Chief Marketing Officer of TDVision Systems.

About TDVision

TDVision Systems Inc. is the owner of several 3D-related key patents now listed as part of different standard stereoscopic architectures like ISO, MPEG and AVC. TDVision`s technology allows the acquisition, encoding, deployment, decoding and visualization of stereoscopic 3D HD video streams and computer-generated content within the 3D ecosystem. TDVision`s solutions are based on firmware and software changes to enable true 3D HD on current infrastructures. The solutions are ubiquitous; display agnostic, fully compatible; and even allows 2D legacy compatibility with existing infrastructures.

The TDVision system is display agnostic, meaning it can be displayed on any existing stereoscopic 3D display, including Full HD Dual Input, Frame Sequential, Line interleaved and Checkerboard, without any additional hardware or changes on the display side. This can be done at the best native resolution and without any detriment in quality, allowing users complete freedom in selecting any existing 3D or 2D display system.
