Venice Fest adds 3D prize
New screening venue will be used at this year`s fest

ROME — The Venice Film festival on Monday announced plans for a new sideline award for the festival`s best Stereoscopic 3D film, adding a cutting-edge aspect to the world`s oldest film festival.

The festival also said that this year`s festival, the 66th, will feature a new screening facility, the Sala Perla 2, which will seat 450 and be used for films in the Critic`s Week and Venice Days sidebars.
