This exclusive deal makes them the official manufacturer for this monumental and unprecedented number of disposable glasses for the nationwide 3-D event to be aired during the Super Bowl l XLIII making it easily one of the biggest media advertising events in history. As we’ve mentioned before this event is to advertise “DreamWorks Animation`s movie trailer for its upcoming 3D feature, "Monsters vs. Aliens", a 90 second 3D preview of the animated feature as well as a 60 second 3D commercial for SoBe Lifewater. But don’t throw your glasses away after the Super Bowl as there’ll also be useful for viewing a 3D episode of NBC`s hit comedy "Chuck," airing Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 (8-9pm E.T.)
It’s understandable that American Paper Optics, LLC was chosen for such a groundbreaking venture because they have been previously used for other events like the “3D DVD`s as the Hannah Montana concert DVD and the recent hit Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D, which helped them reached an epic milestone with their Super Bowl job that has pushed them past the "one billion 3D glasses distributed" mark so far.
Their founder, John Jerit, helped to paint the picture of how big job this was by saying, “This job involved 30 truckloads of 3D glasses that, if stacked end to end, would stretch around the world one and a half times!" Looks like S-3D is getting a massive push in the States which hopefully will rub off on the rest of the world.
