Otoy Talks Holodecks at SIGGRAPH 2019

L-R: Jules Urbach, CEO of Otoy, and Raja Koduri, Chief Architect and SVP of Architecture, Software and Graphics at Intel Corporation Today we have our interview with Jules Urbach, CEO of Otoy.  Otoy is partnered with a company called Lightfield Lab which has developed a new class of auto-stereoscopic 3D display featuring a very comfortable multi-view format which could be the stuff that future holodecks are made of!

Unity Talks Heretic at SIGGRAPH 2019

Unity Technologies at SIGGRAPH 2019Meant to be Seen got a lot of great interviews from SIGGRAPH this year.  First up is Arisa Scott, Product Manager for Unity Technologies.  In addition to talking about their latest engine support, she also spoke to virtual reality and effective use cases for ray tracing and rasterization techniques.

Defining the Client-to-Cloud Revolution

It's no secret that we've taken a very big interest in the Client-to-Cloud Revolution, and yes, it's a bit left of centre from topics like virtual reality and stereoscopic 3D.  It actually ties in, and the reason we're so excited about it is because similar to the way stereoscopic 3D and virtual reality represented an opportunity to significantly improve and change the way we experience computing, so is the client-to-cloud revolution.

Maybe it was the extra cup of coffee talking, but I put pen to paper to express what the client-to-cloud revolution actually is and why I'm so personally excited by it through a blog on Gamasutra.  Check it out and see what you think!
