Samsung Talks Fortnite at Immersed 2018


Richard Huddy, Head of the Game Ecosystem at the Samsung Research Institute (UK), was the second keynote at Immersed 2018.  Among other things, he talked about what the Samsung team did to make Fortnite work on mobile platforms.  Very interesting!

Emotionally Charged Subject Matter at Immersed


Still plenty of content to share from Immersed 2018!  Joanne-Aśka Popińska, Co-Founder of Tribe of Pan, talks about The Choice, their innovative VR project that addresses the topic of abortion at Immersed 2018.  Joanne will also be presenting at Game Developers Conference, so this promises to be something else!

VR is a Beginning, Still Some Future to go!

The History of the FutureI just got wind of this new book called "The History of the Future" last Friday.  Through a series of interviews, it shares the story of Oculus and a behind the scenes look at one of its early founders Palmer Luckey, who was also a moderator with MTBS.  Some of the most important parts of that story happened right here on Meant to be Seen, and I know everyone is very proud of that.

What we learned and the ramifications of what happened go well beyond the confines of VR.  For this reason, I put together this article on Gamasutra with hopes that we will continue to see amazing collaborations and community activities that will build the future for some time to come!
