By April 2, 2009April 4th, 2020News

Looks like April is going to be a great month for stereoscopic 3D gaming!

First, we promised you big news from last week’s Game Developers Conference, and here we have it!

First, in this exclusive interview with MTBS, we had the privilege of interviewing Sean Tracy, License Support Engineer for Crytek, makers of CryEngine 2 and CryEngine 3. CryEngine is the driving force behind the hits Crysis and Crysis Warhead. What did they have to share at GDC? Native stereoscopic 3D support! Watch the video, and share your thoughts in our discussion forums. We apologize in advance for the poor audio quality.

We have also posted part two of Blitz Games Studios presentation about stereoscopic 3D gaming at the Game Developers Conference! Notice how the audience gets bigger and bigger as the presentation goes on? Keep watching because the news gets juicier and juicier.

Share your thoughts on what Andrew has to say! Part three is around the corner, and should grab your attention for sure!

Here at the MTBS home base, we have two additional stories to share. First, we broke 5,000+ registered members today! Amazing! It was not so long ago that we celebrated just 500 registrants.

Second, one of our valued members, Chris Jarram, has co-developed a new dongle for use with projectors to improve compatibility and image quality between 3D shutter glasses and high refresh rate projectors. Be sure to check his venture’s site out!

While these are all very good news stories, there were some additional developments which could hold even greater importance to the S-3D industry. We will release more videos as soon as possible.
