News on three fronts today:
Credit goes to our own Yuriythebest for spotting this on Gizmodo.com. Minoru has developed a stereoscopic 3D webcam that works with Skype, MS Messenger, and others. It promotes itself as working with anaglyph or red/blue technology, but we see potential with modern S-3D solutions given the opportunity.
Second, iZ3D LLC has released another stereoscopic driver beta. iZ3D LLC 1.09B4, or Release Candidate 3 features compatibility with Electronic Arts’ Warhammamer Online: Age of Reckoning and Black Sea Studio’s WorldShift. Other general bug fixes include the 64 bit kernel problem that caused the delay and additional work on the mouselock feature.
Finally, MTBS has received word about the first member meeting of the China 3D Video Industry Alliance and 3D WORLD 2008. This is all 100% focused on S-3D television and video content, and you can learn more by contacting Ms. Zhang Yanyan, at telephone number (8610)6822-5465 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
More news to come from the 3D Film and Interactive Festival this weekend!
