TDVision Goes Blu-Ray, Corning Presentation

By September 18, 2008April 4th, 2020News

TDVision Corp. put out an exciting announcement today regarding their TDVCodec stereoscopic 3D cinema distribution algorithm and blue-ray disk. TDVision has joined forces with MagicPlay Entertainment to have their library of high resolution 3D ride films distributed on DVD in stereoscopic 3D format on blue-ray later this year.

MagicPlay Entertainment has installed over 75 attractions, and specializes in 2D, 3D, and (yes!) 4D feature film! While TDVision Corp. didn’t mention this, we think their TDVisor head mounted display series will easily complement this mix of amusement park content, stereoscopic 3D experiences, and personal HMD equipment.

MTBS is still travelling in the US, and just recently finished a presentation for the Corning glass company in Corning, New York. Corning is a fascinating company because in addition to being a fortune 500 company, their entire niche market is focused on glass. Among other things, Corning is the number one glass manufacturer for LCD displays, and is responsible for countless inventions like fiber glass, fiber optics, and glass making technology.

The Corning team had a lot of fun with an iZ3D monitor and TDVisor prototype playing Unreal Tournament 3 and Crysis. Those glass smashing scientists can really let loose! :=)
