iZ3D Drivers, Unigine, Unreal Tournament 3 Update

News on three fronts today!

First, MTBS was not on-hand to report on the 1.09 iZ3D driver release first...it happens! However, we had a good excuse! MTBS is partnering up with The Personal Computer Museum for a special event to break a gaming world record, and the day was spent getting things ready. I will be able to share more details later.

For now, the iZ3D 1.09 beta drivers are available in our downloads section HERE.

The new iZ3D drivers feature an optional stereoscopic 3D laser sight, performance improvements, and updated profiles for Flight Simulator X, World in Conflict, Gears of War, Assassin’s Creed, and many more titles. The drivers also feature a trial period for additional S-3D solutions like LCD shutter glasses, DLP televisions, HMD, Interlaced, and more. There will be another round of bug fixes on Monday - this is just a beta!

However, it’s not all about the drivers! Unigine, the first modern game engine to earn MTBS Native Certification, has just released an updated version of their Sanctuary demo. Featuring a new side by side output profile, a "candle weapon", and additional bug fixes, you can give their updated demonstration a go here. The best part of native game engine S-3D support is the ability to play with the latest DirectX 10 effects without the need for drivers.

Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX, and if you are using an iZ3D monitor, deactivate the iZ3D drivers when running the demo. Post your thoughts and findings HERE!
