MTBS Down, Up, and Why!

Hello everyone!

Over the past few days, mtbs3D.com has been having some downtime problems. The forums, the news, the galleries - everything. After discussing it with our hosting company at depth, we learned why we have been having these outages.

MTBS has become a pretty complex site featuring forums, galleries, dynamic download sections, and more. Unlike a traditional site that is a simple browse and read, ours is very much database focused, and as our traffic and membership has increased, access to the database has increased exponentially, so much so that our hosting company automatically shuts us down every time we hit our peak. This is happening more and more often as our membership grows.

What this means is MTBS is going through some growing pains, and now that we know what the problem is, we will be taking active measures to solve it. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience, and look at this as an indication of growth.
