NGCodec logoNGCodec is first at bat from GDC 2017.  They are developing a network-based distribution system for virtual reality.  The idea is that one day you won’t need to have a pricey computer to make VR work and could instead benefit from nearly limitless horsepower from the cloud.  The demo looked cool enough for us!

    Good Interview!

This looks promising if they can get it out soon enough for users to use on current hmd’s.

If they partner with Nvidia then they could use it in the Nvidia shield console and a lot of Nvidia users would buy it, and NVidia has Geforce NOW cloud gaming platform. Unless they want to partner with some other company idk. Valve?

If all I had to do is buy the decoder box for like 150 bucks and then get a monthly subscription for 12 bucks a month for high fidelity 120fps ultra settings Vr games I would check it out forsure.

Sounds like a dream come true…
