GDC and VRDC has really been shaping up nicely, and we’ve got loads of interviews to share in the coming days. Already, we are seeing steps to foster a more robust virtual realtiy gaming market. Just some of the highlights so far include:
- Facebook’s Oculus announcing a market value price adjustment to bring their Rift and Touch bundle to a combined price of $599 USD.
- Nvidia has a new 1080Ti flagship graphics card product.
- HTC and HTC Viveport are launching a monthly subscription service for affordable virtual reality content.
- AMD is starting to demonstrate frame-pushing technologies in their new Vega GPUs along with some exciting new partnerships (e.g. Bethesda Softworks).
