MTBS Loses a Good Friend

Our cat did laundry, what does yours do?

It’s with great sadness that we have to report that MTBS lost a feline presence yesterday. Often called Tuo-Te the Wonder Cat, our little guy lived to be almost 20 human years old. At a personal level, he was there for my first apartment, my wife, my son, and of course MTBS!  His passing really does mark the end of an era.

Why was he a Wonder Cat? Curious as ever, Tuo-Te could read (as shown above), he tried to turn doorknobs to get between rooms (Why am I missing opposable thumbs?!?!), he knew who to bite and who to kiss, and he was the best pal anyone could hope for. The embodiment of dignity and class with a touch of Pepé Le Pew with the lady cats, I could effectively write a book (maybe I will one day) with all kinds of stories of how Tuo-Te enriched our lives and all who knew him. They were 20 wonderful years.

We will miss you, Tuo-Te!
