Immersive Tech Game Jam at UOIT

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) is rapidly earning a reputation for being at the forefront of immersive technology.  Armed with a virtual reality CAVE, Oculus Rifts, Epson Moverio glasses, Leap Motions, and countless other cool gadgets for the sight, touch and tingle – everyone wants to see what the students can cook up.

UOIT’s Game Development & Entrepreneurship Program and the university’s Game Dev Society are hosting an internal 48 hour game jam for this purpose.  Michael Sutherland will be giving a remote presentation from the Leap Motion team to kick off the event, and the faculty is looking forward to other guest speakers for future immersive tech game jams.

MTBS will of course be on-hand to see what the future immersitologists are up to and look forward to have new things to report.  Keep a sharp eye out!
