John Carmack Leaves iD Software

Looks like the fellowship of the Rift had to take precedence!  The word on the street is that John Carmack has completely broken ties with iD Software so he can be further committed to his CTO duties at Oculus VR.  It couldn’t have been an easy decision as he was the last original founder still attached to the company.

C’est la vie!

Though this begs the question…will John still be the keynote at Quakecon?
