For those who have been following DDD TriDef Ignition’s stereoscopic 3D drivers, this is a momentous occasion. For years, they have been limited to 32 bit games and operation. The release of TriDef Ignition 3.8 Beta introduces 64 bit support.
To date, supported 64 bit games include World of Warcraft, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Firefall, Gone Home and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. World of Warcraft users must run Wow-64.exe directly.
Additional profiles have been created for Lost Planet 3, RaceRoom Racing Experience, Castle of Illusion, Warface, Arma Tactics, Firefall, Flashback. Profiles have also been improved for Need for Speed Shift 2, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Battlefield 3, Warframe and The Bureau: XCOM Declassified.
It’s unclear if 64 bit game support will have any impact on 32 bit game performance, and while Battlefield 4 support isn’t ready yet, at least we can now have comfort with the knowledge that 32 or 64 bit limitations will not be a barrier for DDD compatibility!
