All we can say is…FINALLY! It’s still experimental, but DDD has revealed early Oculus Rift support in their latest beta drivers. Current games supported include BioShock 2, Crysis, Fallout 3, Half-Life 2, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Borderlands 2, and Metro: Last Light. Additional DX9 games may work with some end-user fine tuning; this is just the beginning!
Once in Oculus Rift mode, additional settings include World Scale, Force FOV (with caveats), OSD Depth, Output Quality and additional Head Tracking options via a separate menu.
MTBS is proud to say that Vireio Perception was a great proof of concept, and now that DDD is taking this market seriously, we have a real shot at having polished VR drivers readily available for gamers. Please share your results in our DDD driver forums!
