MYO Armband a Good Fit For VR Gaming?

By February 28, 2013March 24th, 2020News

Now THIS has promise!  While gamers are geting excited about upgraded HMD technologies like the Oculus Rift, it’s clear that there is still work to be done to find the most effective interface.  Check out this demo video for MYO by Thalmic Labs.  It’s an armband that picks up movement and muscle signals, and translates them into impulses your computer will understand.  These impulses could be used in video games, general interfaces, and more.

We only have a video to go by for now, so we’ll have to wait and see if the delivery adds up to the promise.  Very exciting stuff…and they are fellow Canadians, so our hopes are high!
