iGO3D Results Flowing In

By July 30, 2012April 4th, 2020News

In March, 2011, a large-scale stereoscopic 3D gaming research initiative was launched called iGO3D.  Primarily government funded by the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) and the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE), iGO3D was launched to research best practice guidelines for stereoscopic 3D game development and more.

The research and findings cover everything from effective 3D gaming cursors, to hologram technologies and the relationship between audio cues and stereoscopic 3D technology.  As shown above, we are in the process of recording final presentations by academics and industry partners alike (in 3D), and announcements are pending.

Even though the research is targeted to game developers, we will be announcing a special event for Ontario gamers very shortly.  It’s going to be lots of fun!
